    Battery/Electrical issue

X2 on ACR - I highly recommend installing ACR to keep both batteries healthy. I also keep my batteries on a charger when not running, solar panels.

208 adventure performance data/repower experience from 200 hp up to the maximum (230 – 250).

My experience with the 208 and the F150. It is perfect for what I do, although I have not been on a 208 with more HP, so I can’t compare. I typically fish with a full tank of gas, full 32 gallon bait tank, located near the transom, 60 lbs of ice and 2-3 adults. It gets on plane fine and I can...

Is there a repair kit for small chips in the fiberglass?

I used MarineTex below the water on old transducer holes and it adhered well. MT color did not match, but it doesn't bother me there. On other areas of the hull, I have used Spectrum, it still matches well on my 25 year old hull.

    With all due respect

I typically get 5-7 years out of my batteries, just basic wet cells from Costco. I replaced my this year as a precaution - 5 years on last set that was fine holding a charge. They are always on a solar trickle charger.

Came close to sinking my 330 yesterday

I installed a 2nd Bilge pump and high water alarm on my 20 footer, 2nd bilge is about about 6 inches higher and still below the batteries. Also, added an additional outflow and thru hull should they both need to pump out water simultaneously. I always check both before leaving the dock...

    engine Cowl

I repaired my cowling after a hit to the bait tank. I used some fiberglass and epoxy to repair the dent/gauge, sprayed with primer and then with Yamaha paint. Wasn't difficult and the repair came out OK and didnt cost me much. I've since repainted it along the edge and further back on the...
