Best of luck with your new boat! I just got an 1999 Adventure 208, so I know exactly how you feel. My 150 2 stroke yamaha surges at about 3500 rpm, so research indicates that I need to change some fuel filters, VST and one more. Your trailer and boat look brand new! Again, good luck!

I agree B-man, I feel the same and will start looking for a more capable truck. My marina is about 10 miles away and I took it slow, leaving pretty early in the morning. Overall, I will say it was not as sketchy as I thought.

Thanks Seasick! Thanks for the insight! Read about the VST filter, seems that may the culprit. I'm going out again this weekend and will run on a clean portable tank to rule out bad fuel and then move on to changing the filters.

All went well with my first trip to the ramp. Definitely feel the boat behind me, need to give myself plenty of space to stop. But OK for now with the 4 runner, eventually I'll need to move up.

Hi all, just bought an adventure 208. Do you think I’ll be ok towing with a 2006 4 runner. Tow capacity is right at 5000. I’ll think that’s what the boat, trailer, full tank and 150 2 stroke will weigh. Local trailering up to 50 miles each way. Thanks!

Ono, I have a Kodiak ready to go. Did you plumb it via the deck rear deck plate? Is it mounted to the deck? Previous owner just plugged his to raw water wash down. Much simpler and removable. Thanks again
