    228G Seafarer Cabin Window Hinge

Awesome could you post a picture of what you received from your order, thanks. I only had one hinge break so far so was curious how many were shipped for that price.

2007 Marlin final prep before taking the dip

Yes please list the 3M products in the order that you used them and the pads and polishers. I tried to accomplish the same shine a couple years ago but my results are not even close, thank you.

    First boat

Not sure of your budget but for me used is the way to go for your first boat as there is less depreciation to absorb if you decide to move up in a few years. I bought used 4 years ago, the downside is that it may take a little time to find a decent used boat versus buying a new one at a...

Pulling the trigger on a pilot house on the 228

Are you going to powder coat the aluminum? I powder coated the bracket for my pod to mount the extra long leg Suzuki I bought and found that the color furniture white is an almost perfect match to the Gelcoat.

Hairline cracks in 2020 228 hardtop?

I had a few cracks in 2 of the uprights on my 1999 Seafarer when I bought it a few years ago, my son in law welded them for me. I realize mine is much older but I was shocked to see them, I’ll grab some some pictures of the location and the welds

WTB Hullstripe for 1999 228 Seafarer

I realize this may be a long shot but I was hoping someone had a spare 3 feet of hullstripe laying around from a previous project. I’m just being lazy and want to patch some areas on my Seafarer. Here is the layout: 1 1/8” navy blue 1/32” gap 3/32 or 1/8” gold (hard to tell exact width) 3/16”...

    Starboard question

I did the same on my 228 a few years ago but I had the plastics shop do all the cutting and routering for me using the original pieces as a temple, worked great.

    1998 Grady White 228 Seafarer for sale - $21,600

I think the Suzuki in the picture is much newer than a 2007 just from looking at the style of the cowling decals and shine on the motor which is a good thing or part of the scam

Full cover needed for slipped 2021 228 seafarer

I don’t have a picture with the cover on the boat, I must have deleted it but here is the cover laying in my living room and the shipping label. I recently built a shop for the boat so I sold the cover for what I paid for it.

    1985 22’ seafarer

Wow that’s a nice looking Seafarer. I remember on 2 different occasions and a few years prior to Covid, there were 2 separate 228 Seafarer’s for sale for $55,000 Canadian, a buddy of mine bought one in Parksville and the other one was for sale in Port Alberni, they were both 2002 and 2003...

    1985 22’ seafarer

Hey Ken, is that the one for sale in Port Alberni? I live up in Courtenay. I agree with everything that Mustang has said, it’s a very old hull with old 2 stroke power that will cost a fortune to run at $2/liter and 2 stroke oil. If you get the transom and wiring inspected and it clears it might...

2005 Grady White 228 Seafarer knee paddings removal for re-uphoster

Look under the combing pads, you may need to lift up a little on the fabric to see them but there should be a screw about every 2ft or so holding them. Remove those and then slide them up off their brackets that hold them to the inside of the gunwale.
