My garboard plug is still reachable as the mounting plate is slightly above it with the transducer cantilever down over it. I can still unscrew it. The mounting plate is centered directly over the garboard plug.

I have the same set up on my 2007 330. The GT 56 is centered between the engines and is driven by a 1243xsv. I also have the original through hull transducer that works as well.

Most VHF-FM Tranceivers are hard wired past the BATT switches as are stereo memory. The electrical schematics will only show GW standard items such as bilge pumps, stereo, carbon monoxide detector, etc. not electronics installed by dealers etc.

Recommend a stainless steel head versus powder coated aluminum. The mating surface often gets corroded on the aluminum ones. The mating surface is not powder coated on the aluminum ones and it corrodes pretty easily.

Don’t forget that when repowering, the engines may have different lower unit gear ratios so the engine RPM may not correspond to the same prop RPM on a different engine. For instance, the newer 4.2 L Yamaha four strokes have a different gear ratio than the older 3.3 L four strokes.

You did not tell us the horsepower, year or model number of your motor. Makes it difficult to diagnose. Most larger Yamaha four strokes have a fuel cooler via a waterline like that. Could be that waterline goes to your fuel cooler, but hard to tell given no other information.

Depends a lot on the motors year and model. Modern motors have the hours store to the ECU. If your gauges are digital, that would be a very weird occurrence. What year motors, size, and 6Y5? 6Y8? Analog? what type gauges?
