Who has worked this hard for a hardtop?

Once you dug your teeth into that project, I'll bet you were enjoying the challenge. Just goes to show that the old axiom was right. "If you want something done right..............."

What have you done to your Grady lately?

Chris, transferring your waypoints to the new-to-you garmin is easy. You just put all your waypoints on an acceptable SD card in GPX format and insert the card into the Garmin. In Menu select "manage user data". Then depending on the model of your machine you will see "Merge Data" or "replace...

How do you raise and lower this light?

There should be a thumb screw such as this where that phillips screw is. You can buy various diameters, lengths and threads in stainless steel from many sources. Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware and McMaster and Carr.

    Light

I'm not sure if your model had white and red in the console light but it's an easy matter to just pop the lens off and you may see that the previous owner removed the white bulb or there is a burned out bulb in one socket.

    281 Coastal Explorer Observations

It's sad times to read stories such as these. Hopefully, someone with some sway in their management can get things turned around before they die the Bayliner death.

    Steal of a deal on a 2006 Grady White 232 Gulfstream with twin F200's - $25k

I actually called them on Monday morning. It was about mid-day before a salesman called me back. He said they had a sea trial set up for later in the week. He said he would call me if the guy passed on it. I never have received a call and you say the ads are gone so the guy must have bought it.

    Steal of a deal on a 2006 Grady White 232 Gulfstream with twin F200's - $25k

It's pretty strange that they don't list the hours on the motors and there is no description, like is the trailer included.

    Day 2 Day spray cleaner?

One of the best things you can do to help with blood stains is hydrogen peroxide. Ideally, right after an event like a tuna frenzy catch slows down, spray hydrogen peroxide all over the cockpit and let it set for a few minutes and then rinse well. Retreat tough spots. It helps with dried stains...

    Evinrude G2 motors...need opinions

Thanks Barbender, Looking at things from that perspective, it is entirely possible that a guy could just wind up with an expensive funny-shaped anchor. The fact that I don't have one and the possibility it could end up being a real hair-pulling outcome makes me think I should take notice of the...

Is that banging at idle in water and in gear or at idle on the muffs out of gear?

    Evinrude G2 motors...need opinions

That is something I've been wrestling with too. Since my last post here, i found 2 similar boats one with a 2015 300 yamaha 4.2 liter and another with twin 115 yamaha 4 strokes so it lessened my urge to go after those smokers.

    Evinrude G2 motors...need opinions

blynch, steveditt and deepwater, and Wild blue, .....thanks for chiming in. I was hoping I would hear from actual owners to get some first hand info. Thanks. That helps. I have a large Marina/Dealer that sold them and still works on them so I have some backup.

    Evinrude G2 motors...need opinions

I have been boatless for a while now and I am starting to look around. Some of them have the discontinued G2 motors from Evinrude. If you are running one, give me the scoop. First, are they noisy at cruise, do they smoke you out, are they hard to work on, do they troll well? How is the corrosion...

    Fuel Tank Issue

The anti-syphon valve could be stuck closed. Not too uncommon on an older boat, especially if it has been sitting for an extended period.

One year later and things do not seem right

This statement in your post is not relevant unless your keel is also level. Again, the anti-ventilation plate must be "parallel" with the keel. Hold the aluminum angle under the keel and hold it up tight while sliding it back past the anti-vent plate. Then trim the motor up or down until it is...
