    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

I would assume you stow your side panels on the front birth? Or did you find a creative place to stow them out of the way?

    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

That's exactly what I'm considering. The front panels will be semi rigid, with flexible material around the corners.

Anyone tried this with your windshield canvas?

95% of the time mine will be stowed below, so ease of installation when needed will be a priority. You all have some very nice looking enclosures!

Anyone tried this with your windshield canvas?

I completely forgot about Hookups post. At the time I wasn't considering that, but will likely go that route for the front.

Anyone tried this with your windshield canvas?

I like it! I might go with a different material at the corners to make it more flexible. Your windshield to hardtop height is not nearly as large as mine. I have concerns the material could pucker or flex at speed. Have you experienced anything like that?

Anyone tried this with your windshield canvas?

Is it permanent? Have any photos? How do you slide it around the corner of the upper track?

Anyone tried this with your windshield canvas?

I lost my 3 piece windshield canvas. I'm thinking of having a 2 piece done to replace it to reduce zippers and visibility obstructions. My question is, has anyone used a semi rigid clear for the front panels? The thought of window like clarity is appealing, especially on cold days. The 270...

    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

Thanks for the reply fixit. Looks like yours is different than mine. I've decided to have the canvas shop make a new front windshield panel. Mine was 3 piece. Sounds like yours is a 2 piece. Are you happy with it? If so, please send/post a photo if you have one. The 3 piece was a PIA and I'm...

Looking for ideas to get boat & trailer in new garage

Looks like you have chosen your path, but I'll throw another easier option if only a few inches are needed: Take wheels off 1 set of axles. The added load to the other axle should drop the boat down about 2". Between the above, ½ deflated tire and a ball mount as low as possible, you might...

    Got a 2003-2005 270 Islander?

If you have one of these boats with hardtop and enclosure, I need a measurement from you. Somehow I either misplaced or someone in my house threw out 2 of my 3 front panels. I have the center , but the 2 corner panels are gone. I need to have some new ones made. Thank you!

Looking for ideas to get boat & trailer in new garage

You can do what I did, but it might take you a bit longer.;) I wouldn't completely deflate the tires. You will likely damage them. I would go with the rollers if possible.

    2024 Marlin Trim Tabs

Maybe we need to reconsider the SK ride theory.? They have 2 models. One for pockets, one without.

If that really is a significant factor, go with the SK ride system and you will have a win-win.

    Electric boat trailer winch

It exists. I had one. If I remember correctly, the hand crank was at the same gear ratio as the electric motor. So unless you can turn the crank at 500 rpm+, you weren't getting anywhere any time soon.:(

    Electric boat trailer winch

Unfortunately not enough torque is available from a battery drill. The gearing on the winch would need to be lower. In a perfect world the electric winch would take a battery from a readily available tool platform. Unfortunately no tool manufacturer is in that business.

    Electric boat trailer winch

I'll second this. Had a trailer with a power winch. Total PIA. If only someone made one where a battery drill could attach.

    2024 Marlin Trim Tabs

Here's one for the conspiracy crowd: New f350s are so light that there was a need to change the boats CG for better handling so they went to a different hull mold that moved weight aft.? Looks like the 306 has some with and without pockets too for 2024, but 2025s have no pockets. It looks like...

    2024 Marlin Trim Tabs

Good call. Does the same Canyon or Freedom 30' have exposed tabs? Possibly the case, but I would be surprised that fiberglass molds could be that precise to allow interchangeability between caps.

    2024 Marlin Trim Tabs

That is odd. I thought GW typically hid tabs under the hull to avoid having under water protrusions. Looks like they changed at some point in 24. Making room or cutting cost?
