These arm rests came from the "Ladder Back" style of captain chairs used on the Seafarer model Grady. Asking $150 for the pair plus shipping.

You can clean off the green. I use Colinite #850 Metal Wax or Flitz. Good stuff for metal, but be aware that the pitting in the chrome on those fittings cannot be polished away. That is actual holes or openings in the chrome covering of the bronze fitting. The bronze is a very good stable metal...

Just for reference fellas, the rocket launchers have 6ft 4in clearance. The factory hardtop tubing just ahead of the launchers has 6ft 3 and 5/8in clearance.

If you look close at the pictures you can see the white paint I put on the timing marks on the camshaft sprockets and the white paint on the timing indicator marks on the case. Those are supposed to be lined up when the flywheel TDC mark is lined up. They are 180 degrees off. My service manual...

I just found this info in the first few pages of the Yamaha manual. Makes me think I can rotate the camshafts independent of the crank without harm. I think though I will wait in hopes that Dennis will chime in and verify that thought.

I bought a 2004 228 with a 2004 F225 awhile back and have been tinkering it up, getting it ready to catch a fish. I got it done up to the point I am satisfied to start using it. The previous owner said he had never replaced the timing belt and there was no paperwork showing the original owner...

There is a thin wood core back toward the trailing edge of the hardtop where the launchers are mounted. I measured it. It is zactly 6'4" from the sole to the bottom of the launchers.

Well, I followed Jzenos' advice and with some goading by B-Shell, I sprung for the GW Performance Welding rocket launchers. I finished mounting them this morning. I have done some fabricating years ago and it is beyond me how they can weld all those pieces together without getting any scratches...

Boston, Here is the switch panel on my 2004 228. I think it is pretty much the way it came from Grady except for the one marked "Livewell Light". It was another empty "ACC" switch.
