    New model Freedom 415

I have a house in PKS, NC, and use Beaufort Inlet, which is Grady's home inlet. On a busy summer day, I see dozens of GW's on the water, or any day driving around, I see literally hundreds. But I don't see these big boats, how many are actually produced, and where are they going?

Throttling up to Turn in Place

You also want to take prop walk into account, as well as thrust, in tight situations, and sometimes you are better off just using one motor. If you are just backing into a turn, rather than trying to spin the boat, remember that your standard rotating prop will back to port in a tighter radius...

Throttling up to Turn in Place

With equal throttle, the engine in forward will always have more thrust than the engine in reverse. Plus, the engine in reverse will be banging some of its thrust off of the transom, rather than underneath the boat, unless you remember to trim it up. Even with the setback of the bracket.

    Rod Holders and Other Fabrication

What boat is that? The top is so large, it makes a 7 rod launcher look small.

    Transom replacement Marlin

If you're still serious about the boat, I would see if they are willing to let your surveyor make some visits during the process.

Fresh water washdown hose to flush engine?

The FW washdown hose is going to be the size of a home shower head. But an adapter might be a simple solution. I would look for one that swivels, as you will be connecting in opposite directions. Maybe you can come up with a reducer/quick connect.

I know what you mean. I turned 75 last week.

Pulling the trigger on a pilot house on the 228

Looks like you went from a low seat, with your feet hanging over the windshield, to a taller removable one. If it were me, I would be driving anyway, and someone else would be up there. Don't know if you see it out there, but on the east coast, a lot of guys will have something like a moon...

    First boat

A major factor in how much you will end up using your boat, and whether or not it is an enjoyable experience, is your access to the water. Will you keep it on your own lift, in a marina, or will you have to have a tow vehicle, and fight week-end madness at public ramps?

    Thanks gauge saver

Did they just polish and refurbish, or did they have to replace screens, etc?

Pulling the trigger on a pilot house on the 228

That one has Maine registration, and LD is Cali, but they may be sharing CAD drawings. I like it.

I think that Wynne does the glass, and Wynn makes marine windshield wipers, so you may end up using both. Did you design the cutouts for existing stock windows, or do you have to go custom?

TMC, that name on the transom was our nightly hang out in the 1970's. https://hesnotherenc.com/

2003 Marlin 300 transom handle replacement. How do I get in there?

It just has a stud welded to each end, with a washer and a nut on it, if you can reach it.

I would run a good size power and ground up there, and install a second fuse block. Power everything in the pilot house from there. and avoid that hard-to-reach fuse block under the helm.

Inside the starboard window frame, and a smooth curve into the bottom, front corner of the box.

Pulling the trigger on a pilot house on the 228

Going to need a t least one large chase, to run wires and cables to the box. Have you planned that location? Would be nice not to have it in front of your face, as before.
