Mark exactly where the adjustment teeth are aligned on the windshield support rod on the side where the window is hinged. Loosen it, and adjust it one notch in either direction, and see if the magnet lines up. If it was actually the windshield which shifted, I would not think that the center...

Brand is Accon, pop it up and there are screws on the bottom. Hopefully, you can replace the diode, or something less than the whole unit. Use the drop down menu on the right, to see if you have the old or the new unit. Old is discontinued, new is only $32.69...
