    2004 Grady Marlin/ 2011 F300’s

Do an internet search like you were buying and see where the asking prices are for comparable craft, allow for your particular market area and put a price on it that you can feel good about. Don't let the buyers be in charge. Makes you look wishy-washy when you can't make a decision. They will...

At $10,000 per foot, Grady should be able to pay the light bill.

diag inop fuel gauge on 1998 208 adventure.

The pink wire goes to the gauge, the green to ground. The tank should be grounded also. I believe IIRC that at empty, the ohm reading should be about 33 ohms and full around 340 ohms. But don't shoot my dog if that's not exact. Make sure you have a good clean ground connection on both ends of...

This guy will be of help in finding stuff for your motor and troubleshooting. https://maxrules.com/fixmercwiringcodes.html Here is a diagram of the back of your switch, most likely.

    Ignition switch

Just because there are 10 wires going to the switch doesn't mean there has to be 10 terminals on the switch. There may be multiple wires on a single terminal. Do you have the original switch? If so, buy one just like it.

    Fuel gauge question

When you partially fill the tank, your monitor will have an option for that where you actually enter the number of gallons you added. Be sure you have done your setup, where you can tell the monitor how much fuel can be used from your tank. If you have a full tank and your fuel tank has a...

    Chips in fiberglass-

Don't worry about the "below waterline" location. It appears to me that those chips were done with a hard object being struck against the hull. It would not bother me if the boat was otherwise acceptable. Easily repaired to be unnoticeable.

Fill the fuel tank or NOT

I agree with seasick and Fishtales. That trip is all about enjoyment, not fuel numbers bragging rights. Operate to make it the most enjoyable for everyone. No matter how efficient you are with your rpm and trim, the tide run in those waters is going to have a huge impact on those mpg numbers...

    ACR proves its worth

Yeah, sorry, I misspoke. The piece I saw on the news showed an ACR brand PLB. The same one I carry. They hit a satellite just like an EPIRB but have a lot shorter life span for sending out position from what I understand.

    ACR proves its worth

Just North of me a ways at Clearwater Florida, a fishing guide had 6 people out about 100 miles and caught some nice fish. On the way back the boat was hit by lightening and went dead in the water. The skipper was knocked out for just a bit but was right back up and triggered his ACR. Coast...

yamaha 300 beeping and flashing gauge

If the gauge started beeping and flashing soon after leaving the fuel dock, it may be a "water in fuel' warning. Always be suspicious of fuel purchased at any water side fuel delivery. Of course, we buy it but be suspicious.

    FP 4200 Starting Problem

Thats very odd. If something more comes of this, be sure to update this. I would be very interested. Never heard of valve lash changing quickly like that unless jamb nuts were loose.

    weeds

When I have one of those days when the weeds make you have to continually clear the lines, I find it less than fun. I usually either find an area for jigging or find a good showing on a reef and bottom fish. Spending a day cranking in piles of weeds is torture.

    Engine woes...

If you have squeeze ball pumps as old as the plumbing I see in the bilge, I would recommend installing new name brand squeeze balls first thing. Make sure the arrow is pointed up when trying to pump out the air. The only way to make sure which tank you are using from with the valve in any...

    268 Captain's Chair Question

Ha ha ha...wish we all coulda been there to see that! Musta been a funny scene.....sorry, couldn't help myself. That handle is indeed for tightening the swivel action. If it is bottomed out on the thread and it is still wobbly, then yours may be the type that has a nylon shim that goes in that...

    Goodyear Endurance Tire Pressure Chart.

Inside the door panel on my Chevy it says to air tires to 32 lbs. The tires say 44lbs max on the sidewall. I guess GM agrees also. I know on my bike the tires say 45 to 60 lbs pressure. When I tried them at 60 my ass could feel the difference. I went back to 40-45.
