    fuel level gaugue

Yup, need to know the gauge style. In addition, answer the following: After you fill the tank, what does the gauge read in bars? When it drops to a bar, what did it drop from, 5 bars, eight bars , two bars etc. I think Dennis is right, the sender is bad.

Went from 2 stroke to 4 stroke in a 19-20 footer?

I would opt for the 200hp I4. The extra weight of the F150 and the reduction in power will be noticeable I think The 50 or so pounds isn't going to be a big issue as ling as there is space right now between the scuppers and the water leveI would feel less comfortable with the F150. What is the...

    1981 wahoo hull inspection

In theory, a transom for an i/o or outboard would need to be stronger than needed for an inboard. I have no idea if the hulls were actually built different. Was there an outboard option for that model?

    1981 wahoo hull inspection

everything:) Seriously though, you need to look for delamination areas all over, rotted transom, stringer rot, bulkhead rot, soft spots in deck, gas tank condition, etc.

F225 rough idle and low rpm

I had assumed the motors were 2 strokes. My bad.. I don't have a lot of experience with the 4 strokes and my advice probably doesn't apply to your issue.

Lewmar Windless Model in 2011 366 Canyon???????

The model number is a start bu the thing you really need is the gypsy part number. That is usually stamped on the gypsy but you probably need to remove the cap (Top Nut) to get to the gypsy

    Chase hull sides have wood?!

As far as I understand, older Grady hulls were all made with solid fiberglass below the water line. Some have balsa coring above the water line. The transoms are a different story and typically were cored with wood. I can't say if it is always the case but the balsa I've seen in pictures looks...

F225 rough idle and low rpm

It is possible that there is a neutral position switch but it would be an on-off type and generally if misadjusted you would have a dead spot when throttling. Taking a stab in the dark, I would look for a fuel issue. You may have a bad low pressure fuel pump. I don't know if that motor uses...

    265 first ocean run

If the motors are angled OUT from each other as would be the case with your measurements, it is relatively easy to verify. Trim the motors to straight , get on plane as comfortable cruise speed and look behind the boat at the wakes. If they don't converge somewhere between 25 and 50 feet (...

    2001 232 Gulfstream parts

Making a frame using starboard is relatively straightforward for someone with the tools and woodworking skills. Note that the new frame has to mechanically attached to the insert (assuming there is one). Starboard is not easy to glue

    1994 228 seafarer gunwale spigot

If you are referring to the roundish insert that is mounted on top of a gunnel and holds the sprayer, those are readily available If you are referring to a box mounted on the side of the gunnel, you probably won't find the original part. You have options, One is to repair the existing part but...

    Cooling system concerns

Ypu cant judge for certain using muffs on a garden hose. If the hose has lower water flow, the telltale may be weak or nor present at all. In addition, sometimes the telltale plumbing gets clogged and slows or stops the flow. That in itself does not mean the engine is not getting cooled. I...

    Navigation lights troubleshooting

Before cutting any wires, use a test lamp to see if you are getting juice at the connector and if it is present on both sides. If you get voltage then test at the fixtures. remember that a bad ground connection will cause the same issue. If the connector is not making a good connection, it may...

    Electrical issue

If you have selected BOTH for the battery switch then I can explain your symptom. Using both selection when troubleshooting will lead you astray.

    Electrical issue

The grounds on the batteries are tied together to provide one ground path for accessory buss as well as a common ground for engine power. If the battery you suspect as having a bad cell will start the motor if that battery only is selected, it is less likely hat it has a bad cell.

    Electrical issue

It seems that the OP either swapped the bulb or the fixture. Regardless, did the old fixture work before?? If the fixture was changed, it also probably is polarity sensitive and maybe the feed wires got swapped.

    Question about manual flush toilet

That's the way it was explained to me too. I was also pretty much shocked to hear that your lady passengers didn't have an issue hanging off the transom!
