    Fuel Level Question...

All the marina's up here in Ocean City, MD have nonethanol - at least for now. Hopefully the politicians in Washington will allow more oil drilling and refinement so the fuel price doesn't hit 4.30 -4.50 like last year. I won't be able to afford to leave the dock let alone cruise 60 miles to...

Transducer placement on your Grady 330?

I've got a 600 watt flush tranducer in the bilge area midship. I'm considering switching to a 1,000 watt mounted in the stern where I have a temp sensor/tranducer. I fish in 120-2,000 feet of water and now you got me thinking 2,000 watt. Anyone else upgrade to a 1,000 or 2,000 and (if so) was...

    Fuel Level Question...

Should be fine. However make sure to use ring free and add a little fuel stabil before every fill up. Can't hurt and will probably help keep fuel fresh. Oh and :goodjob on not using ethanol fuel. Not worth risking it for a little savings.

How much rode in your 330?

Not enough for fishing in current in 130 feet. I'm going to add more chain and another 100 feet of rope. Hopefully is will be as easy as having my local marina splice more in. I think I have 300 now but not 100%.

330 Express - Glass enclosed hard top or standard?

Depends on the lights and how many and quality. I'm guessing it could run a few grand to 4-5k or more. I leaning towards 3 color changing lights from lumishore. I will probably install them myself as it ain't that hard to do. http://www.lumishore.com/

330 Express - Glass enclosed hard top or standard?

Thanks SeaBiscuit. The space isn't really at all crowded with 3-5 big guys. On long canyon trips, some sit around the helm (usually 1-2 on right and maybe 1 on left) or they sit in the back or sleep downstairs. Unless I was always in cold weather, I would never spend the money for the glass...

330 Express - Glass enclosed hard top or standard?

BTW Sea Biscuit is the name of my boat and was the name of my prior boat 2000 272 Sailfish. :D

330 Express - Glass enclosed hard top or standard?

I love the classic lines of the 330. I talked to a lot of folks about the hardtop and (unless you are in cold weather a lot) it didn't really make sense vs the cost. You can add helm air and heat without the hardtop and you will be fine. The center helm for me is great but it can get a little...

Completed boat ride through VA and NC

Very cool. One day, I plan on cruising the Chesapeake bay in my 330 Grady. I have lots of roots there as my mother is from Crisfield, MD and I graduated from St. Mary's. College of MD. Not sure I would do it in middle of winter though! Good post!

    vhf radio follow up

:goodjob For the near zero cost to them, they won a client for life. I had the same experience with Furuno. Also, last summer, I had to replace those wire holders in the bilge area. Every single one of them had deteriated to near nothing. I reported this to grady and they did call me to...

    Sailfish: 1 bilge or 2?

I kept my 2000 sailfish on a lift. There are bulkheads but a PVC tube runs through it. I would have to flush now and then to keep open as it would jam with insulation pieces and other debris. I once had to feed a small PVC tube through it from the stern bilge area to get unclogged.

33 Express, How do you Change Cockpit Drain Hoses

I agree. Grady should stand behind them and offer solution. I will be checking mine closely this Spring as I have a 2006 330. Perhaps caused by ice? Good news is they are not under pressure.

    Repowering 2006 330 Express

Nope. I have not asked for a dealer quote yet. However, I have been told that I shouldn't have any problem selling my F250TXRL outboards which only have 600 hours.

    Repowering 2006 330 Express

Thanks. I can see going from 225 to 300 being a big improvement. New 300s are nice but I'm just not sure it is worth doing when I only have 600 hours on the 250s.

    Repowering 2006 330 Express

We have F250s and are seriously considering repowering to 300s. Question is - how much better will the boat run with new 300s vs. 250s - speed, performance, cruise speed, fuel burn? Who has done this and how did it go?

    It is official!

Sold my 2000 Grady sailfish last summer having moved up. I did love that boat and she cruised easily at 30. Fast and a good looking boat. I have a 330 now but do miss her! Good luck with her!

Opinion on 305 vs 330 Purchase?

The 330 rides and feels like a big boat but it is slower. We cruise around 30 at 4800 rpms. Ran it to haul out a few weeks back with no equipment aboard and max seems to be 52-5400 rpms (if I recall correctly) but not much faster. As for handling, yes the 330 handles larger seas better than...

Opinion on 305 vs 330 Purchase?

The beam on my 330 is 11' 7" and dry weight is 10,000 lbs not counting engines, gear and 350 gallons of fuel. The height is 9' 10" without the trailer. I think trying to trailer this boat around would require a very large truck and trailer and wouldn't be much fun - except short distances...
