    Silicon caulk or 4200?

The HD silicon by GE does work fairly well and the almond color is a decent option for Gradys' Just make sure you get the stuff that says it is for kitchens and baths. That product has a mildewcide in it and that does reduce mold growth

Washdown pumps, 3.5 vs 4 gpm.

OK. You are adding a washdown pump to an existing seacock mounted livewell pump. Therefore yoy washdown will not look like the one shown but rather more like the Shurflow Blaster II which is rated at 3.5 GPM. The Shurblaster Pro at 4 GPM is about a 100 bucks more. Before choosing that option...

Washdown pumps, 3.5 vs 4 gpm.

It doesn't realty matter but as pointed out, pick the pump that will enable the easiest refit.

    Spider crack— worry??

You have to talk to your dealer first. If they determine that the cracking is not due to a defect, they won't fix it. At that point you can refer the mater to Grady and see what happens.

Do you wash down the fuel tank compartment?

Generally no, but that's because my tank is poly. The Care and Maintenance section of the original owners manual does mention rinsing the tank.

    Spider crack— worry??

Looks like an impact crack. The line on the left middle area of the photo looks like another crack but it could be a non skid lip. If that is a crack, I would suggest you look underneath to see if anything structural is bonded in that area. The stress crack could b cause by impact from...

    Fuel filler grounding..

The zinc plate under the transom if attached to the motor bracket is your sacrificial anode. It is not the same as a grounding bar which can also be a sacrificial anode but the wiring is more important.. Take a look at your thru hull fittings inside the bilge, particularly the seacocks. Check...

    Fuel filler grounding..

Assuming the tank is grounded ( metal tank ) then the ground for the fill should go to the same ground source. That probably would be closer to the batteries than the helm but I am not sure, The old fuel fill may be spliced at the tank ground point. See if you can follow it. If you can get to...

Perhaps but why a fuse on the ground side?

    seafarer port side junction box

It seems to be a hack job:) Not only is there no reason to have a fuse in a ground leg, it can create a dangerous situation. I agree that is doesn't need replacement but my concern is whether the two conductors were feed side ( power source) or load side ( whatever it was powering. In the later...

Tie off line with a windlass?

Good question. It is advised by the windlass manufacturers to always 'tie' off the anchor, both when deployed and when fully retrieved. That way the bouncing of the boat doesn't put extra stress on the windlass. So to cover all possibilities, you need a cleat to tie off line and a cable with...

    Upgrade outboards

Run your Yamis until they die or become unreliable and then decide whether or not to repower. The extra 200 pounds can cause issues. To get an idea of the impact, see how the boat sits with you at the helm and one big person aft center or two smaller people aft, one on each side. The passengers...

    2003 265X switches

To function as a tank sender select switch, the switch itself has to be a SPDT type. It requires three wires to work. The common terminal goes to the gauge and the two other terminals connect to the two sender signals (from Main and Aux sender) There is no power connection and no ground needed...

    Grady for cheap

The asking price is in the correct range but the condition seems too good to be true. The person who listed the boat didn't say who supposedly did all that work. In addition, what's the big deal waiting a year if the boat is in as good a condition as stated. It could be a decent boat but being...
