if I drop the lower is there any seal/gaskets I need to worry about? looks like 9 bolts and it should pry loose.. pretty straight forward?

If you dont have an owners manual for your specific boat. You can download it for free from the Grady website. You should have a copy of this anyways . Many questions can be answered from having a manual about your boat and a lot of good info is in it as well..

also dont mount the center screw until you have tested the unit in some water. might need to adjust up/down to get best results.

Ah I see. If it oem pump should be rated to handle.. Otherwise need to look at the panel schematic to see what the rating is.of the breaker. Grady white should have the spec on Their website Under owner manual.. Hope that helps.

I think need to know spec on your bilge pump. To correct match a fuse.

I can see up top that the shift levers seem to be rotating in both direction.

I am testing it with motor off and shift cable disconnected. Reverse always works. Rotate prop by hand and it goes in to reverse gear. Reverse to N to forward rotate prop sometimes free spins. Back to N to forward sometimes in gear.. Then it works for several cycles. Back to N to R to N to...

Do that tomorrow afternoon. I was able to spray some boeshield on the linkage and it seemed to make a improvement. Could there be a bushing issue?

Manually shifting it at the motor. I can occasional get it in forward.
