took it for what was likely the last run of the season, washed it, and started scheduling off season maintenance. it will get a 100 hour, impellers, mid section scope, and a fuel tank pressure test.

if you mount it a few inches back from the front of the hard top, the bow will be in the shadow cast by the hard top and you get no glare. that being said, for night, id want an ultra low light cam and/or a good hand held spot light

i wouldnt want to fiddle with a handheld monocular while running a boat. if i were to install a camera for night use, i would do ultra low light over FLIR. sionx or black oak

same hull. the fisherman is newer and will have more modern finishings. not sure if the livewell and some storage has moved around. also, the head is likely to be much nicer

if in good shape and well sealed, low scuppers are not the end of the world. the flaps actually do a pretty good job keeping water out. its probably time to replace your deck drain hoses anyway at 21 years. i cant imagine 82lbs being that much of a problem, even if that was per engine.

i have a decent cover from national boat covers, however, the straps go around my trailer frame. you may be able to hang milk jugs from the loops so it doesnt blow off

i cant help with all the questions, but from what i am aware of, stringer rot is not so much the concern with that vintage as is transom rot that can lead into stringer rot in the worst cases. that being said, in 1998, GW went from regular marine plywood to greenwood xl which is much more rot...

i think there may be some room to work. like mentioned, the engines are $50k. if the hull is worth $30k, that gets you to $80k. electronics and a trailer could get to around $90k. these are all rough estimates, but hopefully it helps

my initial thought was $20k, but like others said, it will vary. do you want an ultra-low light camera? FLIR? are you using radar to navigate in fog, or spot birds miles away?
