Do you have a windlass?? If not, this could work for you. I took this off my 228 so I could go 1/2" 8 plait and chain for my new windlass. I think it's 5/8" and 15-20' of chain. If you can use it, let's make a deal. I'll have to measure the length when I get home if you're interested.

Guess the Precision-9 is in my future, want it all to work as it should.

What fish said is good info. My enclosure had shrunk also and I discussed this with Lee. They made adjustments and you install the snaps to match your location. Communication with Lee is critical, don't assume anything, if you have questions, ask. Highly recommend A&J, we remain friends to this...

I'm still not getting the necessity for a second compass when the Point-1 has one in it. But it states on the box and paperwork, that it's not recommended for use with MARPA? Guess I need to read more about it.

$600 is a partial down payment for that boat. Very expensive little model.

Those Garmin domes are taller than the Halo 24's. That's the reason I'm looking into the pedestal mount for the clearance over the other stuff on hardtop. Halo is 8 3/4" tall.

Don't know that I'll be going to this thing right away. Proud of it.

I'm looking into a Yamaha 9.9 to hang on the back of my 228 for Lake Erie. It'll allow for slow troll when needed. Big motor won't idle down slow enough without socks off the front.

It has 2K network. Just going off what the box says. I won't know until I get it installed and up and running.

Yep, I trailer everywhere too. One of our members PM'd me his mounting setup. It's a 3" one. Not overly tall, but gets some clearance over my stuff mounted on the hardtop. Should be easily trailerable with the Halo 24 on it.

After some more reading, the Point-1 external GPS antenna I have on the hardtop, has a internal compass, so that would let the Velocity Track feature work, but not MARPA. The Velocity Track would let me see trails of targets, allowing me to see the direction of travel in regards to my location...
