Yep . I didn't think of that. I did think hey ,I don't want to do this project again. I woke up all sore on my right shoulder .lol. I actually don't use the. live well that often . I mainly troll with dead bait and artificials .

    Seacock lube

Hey Guys, I searched extensively on here for what type of lubricant to use on my seacocks.. I have my live well out and I am replacing all the hoses. My seacocks work . They are only slightly tight . They do move freely through out their range. I want to lubricate them. So far I have read...

    228 Scupper Question

what's more critical than the flap or ball is the hose. I replaced my scupper hoses last season and upgraded to the current deck drains Grady uses . I bought my new stainless deck drains from Grady . Today I am removing my live well and ordering all new hoses for the wash down and live well. I...

Thanks for the rub rail tip

I used the 303 as well. You can make the run rail shine also with mop n glo. I have done it and put on a couple of coats. it lasts for a month or so. However, I don't think it has the UV protection properties of 303. Rub rail looks great!

    Seafarer 228 4 blade vs 3 blade

Ken told me that 4 week time frame on the prop and it arrived around 3 weeks. There is different gearing between 3.3 and 4.2 and it's kind of odd the sane prop works for both motors. Ken did say the 4.2 is on the edge between 15 and 16 pitch. It's worth the wait for the prop in my opinion.

    cleaning boat

They put two bilge pumps and a high water alarm for the safety of the boat and you. I would put a 6x6 wood under your jack and get the tongue up. The water will drain aft. Concrete blocks will shatter if you put them under a load on their side. Use wood blocks .

    Seafarer 228 4 blade vs 3 blade

Both props are the 16 inch pitch. Typically as Ken at Prop Gods suggest that when you add a blade you drop down 1 inch in pitch. Both motors ran the same 3 blade saltwater series II prop..15.5 x17 Seek the wisdom of Ken at Prop Gods and he will direct you to enlightenment of proper propulsion.

    Tournament 192 washing forward storage

I had a 192 , great boat by the way. Clean her out and pull your drain plug on the stern. It's all good. I don't recall how the rigging tube sat ,either on the bottom or the side where the chine forms. Either way, it's not an issue if some fresh water is rinsed down the tube . There are no...

    Seafarer 228 4 blade vs 3 blade

I have run both and on two different engines.I had a 3.3 liter f250 , original with new boat and the 4 blade improved low end performance, turning performance ( it didn't ventilate in tight turns) and great following sea performance as , again, would blow out especially at low speeds coming into...
