    Replacing Fuel Senders 2007 Marlin

I'm away from the boat. Can a fuel sender be replaced through the inspection hatches or do I need to pull the floor section up? Any 2007 Marlin owners know the size for the senders?

To upgrade engines or Not to upgrade this is the question!

She is thirsty, using 4 blade props she got 1.0 to nautical mile. I ran at 4200-4600 most often, could usually not go faster in the ocean.

    Gone But Not Forgotten

T Thanks for that. I'd like to get out for that 2 per day halibut catch, but Newport would be my destination. My next project in Operation Shop Space is moving this to a lot in Vancouver this coming week.

    Gone But Not Forgotten

I'll look for a 20' boat that can fish the Columbia River yet jump out the bar on nice days for nearshore bottom fish.

To upgrade engines or Not to upgrade this is the question!

I liked my F250 set. My 2007 Marlin liked them. The only way to be sure on the corrosion issue is to pull the power head off. Scoping while the lower unit is off can give clues, but you must pull the powerhead to be sure. If you go that far, either replace the oil pump or rebuild with new...

    Meaning of Dash Switch

I was hoping another 2007 Marlin owner might know. I doubt they were wired the same. Thanks for the replies.

    Meaning of Dash Switch

I cannot recall what this switch operates. It says ACC but I don't recognize the figure, some of which is rubbed off. 2007 Grady Marlin.

    Furuno

That GPS antenna timed out a bit ago. Take a look at your recent tracks, it probably shows the wrong date. I replaced mine for the same reason, 2007 boat. Log into the Furuno community board and ask the same question. They are very good at answering questions...

    Ground wire corrosion in outboard

Make sure the drains in the cowling are open. Mine were clogged with salt & crap. Another thing to check.

    Cracked Transom Recovery

Interesting recovery of a 27 Grady. I would like to see more on that transom. Anyone have the full story?

Looking for input on transom cracks

The way Grady fills any voids is with nonstructural putty. That is a very weak method. Between the delamination and putty, I'd vote for a new transom. I did with mine. The shop had to add a week for the build just to fill all the putty voids. Will last a lifetime now.
