    Weekend update. Got old bolsters off an getting them reupholstered this week. Spent the afternoon buffing on the cabin area.

    Yea had to abandon the old cover to much damage found a used dinged up cover and fiberglass guy sanded it all down and added the new Yamaha decal. Should have taken pics of the dings before but he still did a great job. Anyone need a split cowling

    fiberglass guy did a great job considering the amount of room he had to work with between the console and the windshield.

    Update number 2 step 2 The boat is back from fiberglass Before After Decals have been ordered and received now the real fun begins. Removed the old name and started wet sanding and buffing. OUCH this is a young mans game. Half way done though Next step 3 Sending the windshield frame...

    Yes Sally surprised us on the FL AL coast it was supposed to go in way west of here. Lots of salvage boats at a place in DeFuniak where insurance company’s are storing them. If someone had time money there are some nice project boats there.

    Yep water got up about 4’ higher than expected. Got squashed in the sling and broke the boat and eventually lift supports.

    Getting a new hard top built even as I type. 5K for the top no rigging but mine includes the hard top itself. Most builders will want to replace the hard top as well to fit their frame. WMW in NC built your original for GW they wanted 5K as well.

    removing the rigging tube

    I have to remove the rigging tube on a 228. It received damage during Sally and the fiberglass repair need to be done. There is a finger hole in the cabin underneath the drop down inside but how can I get to the nuts underneath without removing the entire headliner in the cabin.

    Tricks to removing the caps in the cabin

    Ok got everything of except the tube to the upper station. Anyone know how to remove this to get to the nuts below the tube that attached to hard top. There is a finger hole when I drop down the console from inside the cabin but do I have to drop the cabin head liner to get to it.

    Looks like they just pop off but didn't want to pry on them to hard for fear of breaking them and not being able to get replacements. I'll get some pics tomorrow.
