Single 225 E Tec on a 24 Offshore.....I like to run at about 4100-4200. This usually gets me apx 27mph. All I need to get to my fishing areas. I do however....try to run for a few minutes at WOT on each return trip...I troll a lot and I feel this will burn out the accumulated carbon or whatever.

I am no pro but I can tell you some of the things I learned changing out the main tank on 2 different Offshores. Do not foam in a molded tank....they need to expand and contract. You also must have clear space under the tank for water to drain aft. Not just the tube that connects the front...

It is a little funny that nobody mentions the Offshore in the background of the first picture. You can't take a picture of one Grady in a marina without getting another in the frame. Say what you will about certain aspects of their construction....they must be doing something right. Hope it all...

I will say this.....after finding I had in excess of 40 gallons of fuel in my bilge the $1,000.00 for a new main tank didn't cause me to bat an eye.

A pic would help......when I removed my main tank from my Offshore I only had to remove the hatch cover and a cross brace or two.

Dennis.....i believe the tank configuration must be different in your modified weekender....my Offshores of that vintage both had a 93 gal rear main and smaller forward Aux tank..?
