    265 Express, adding outriggers

It's easy. There's one thumb screw/bolt that you have to back out. That screw secures the wishbone part to the main tube. Once that's out, the whole thing pivots at the bottom mounting point. It takes me about 3 minutes to lay both down.

    GW Sailfish Fuel Tanks

Florida Marine Tanks is the name that I seem to hear the most. I'm not sure if they are the original supplier though. I also saw a place called SP Tanks in The Salty Dog. They're in NJ. www.sptanks.com I'm not sure if it could be done or not, but I would look into replacing the dual...

bottom paint and saving fuel costs...

What was the blast media of choice? Soda? Lemme guess on the details of this job following the blasting. 1. Wash bottom w/ soap and water. Wipe down with solvent once dry. 2. Epoxy primer/barrier coat on hull bottom and bracket. Minimum 3 coats. Is a 1" gap betwen the transom and...

Questions for the Really Long Time Owners

I've heard of plastic tanks being used in recent years, but never fiberglass. Only thing used for tanks in '91 was aluminum.

    1981 Mako 17 Project - 7/15/13 update

Aside from a few dings and stress cracks here and there the gelcoat is in phenomenal shape. I was told the 2nd owner (I'm the 4th) kept it waxed and covered and the 3rd owner kept it in a garage for the year he had it.

    1981 Mako 17 Project - 7/15/13 update

Well, it's official. I took delivery of my 1981 Mako 17 Standard earlier today. :D :D :D From what I can tell, this hull is in excellent condition with the exception of the transom. It has already been gutted and is awaiting reassembly. Decks and gunwales are solid all the way...

    Trailer for a Tournament 225

I agree with these guys as well....on one count. Steve at ECT is great to work with. I got a lot of info. from him prior to purchasing a used '05 LoadMaster, and he sold me my current '06 Hi-Tech trailer new. He's top notch when it comes to customer service and knowing his product. :)...

http://www.meguiars.com/?boat-rv-kits/F ... ion-System I used the same stuff. Got it at Boater's World for about $30/kit. On the Sailfish, plan on 10 hours per hull side to do all three steps. I had to buy one kit for each side. I could have probably gotten away with just buying an...

    My "new" 92 Gulfstream

If Tri-State Marine in Deale, MD was the servicing dealer I would go over that thing with a fine tooth comb. They are supposedly the no. 1 Yamaha service shop in this area, but I've heard a bunch of horrier stories. They left 3 of my 12 spark plugs in finger tight.... :( She looks good...

I've got a fighting chair spider on the way back from Don right now. Broke off one of the tensioning "tabs" last year. I thought I was going to have to buy a new one, but Don offered to weld it up for me. I think it was a one day turn around. NOW THAT'S SERVICE!!! :D Thanks a bunch...
