On my 1989 Seafarer, I am replacing my cabin bilge with the original 1000 RULE (due to size) and in the back I am upgrading to a Rule 1500 as well as a backup Rule 1500 (with independent float switch and manual turn on) You may need to step up to the next size up RULE's for your boat.

I am doing a similar thing to my 89 228. Just the cost of the tank is min. $850. I spent close to $1500 so far on switches, fuses, wire, bilge pumps with float switches, livewell and wash down pumps. I still need new batteries and am am sure I will run into more expenses. So add in gas lines...

Thanks for the replies, I am buying a new fuel cell, and replacing all the wires and hoses that I possibly can as well as bilge pumps, batteries, gauges and switches. I will also look at the control cables as well. I will get the compression check as soon as possible once it gets to my house.
