    330 - Refinish cabin floor?

Be careful using mineral spirits. They make an odorless version now, but it may just mask the danger of breathing the VOCs, rater than eliminating them.

    Portable bait well advice please

Rick, a lot of people use the same through hull for live well and wash down, but I don’t think many use the same pump. Live well pumps are high volume, low pressure(1100 gph), and washdown pumps are low volume high pressure(300gph/70psi). What many people do is tee off of the same intake, to...

    Marlin 300 - Trim Tab/Plane Replacement

Not that we can solve your problem, but from a detective standpoint, it would be nice to know which end of the connection let go, if you can tell. I am guessing the hinge, which would leave a flapping plane attached to the actuator, for a while. If the ram let go of the plane first, it should...

    Computer Literacy Question

I prefer the "Your Content", under your user icon, top right next to mail envelope. Instead of having to search a 5 page thread to find your posts, it takes you right to your comments within the thread. But, Find Threads is handy for seeing threads that you started.

    Computer Literacy Question

Thank you, that helped me to realize that this site has a better search function than I had thought in the past. I have often wondered why no title search, or no advanced search, so after exploring I now realize that I have to scroll all the way to the right and click the settings icon in the...

    Computer Literacy Question

Is there a way to save threads on this site, in some sort of catalogued fashion? I have a Seafarer, with an OX66, so let's say that I want to save interesting threads on those two subjects, into some sort of folder, for future reference. I don't see a "subscribe" button here, but I do see a...

    Seafarer trolling motor

Probably because most people won't give up a windlass and anchor, for a trolling motor on the pulpit. Bow rails, trolling motors, anchor rollers, and windlass are a hard juggling act. I just realized that the OP is not the seller, so more info is unlikely.

    Marlin 300 - Trim Tab/Plane Replacement

What 'pin' are you referring to? It's odd that everything would go at once. Unless the design has changed, the mounting plate traps the trim plane against the hull, but they are not locked together. I would expect the plate to be loose, but not gone. I would suspect some wet or soft wood, or...

    330 - Refinish cabin floor?

I think the finish you use would need to be compatible with the finish that is on there, unless you sand it down to bare wood.

    Seafarer trolling motor

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see your trolling motor set-up. Make, mount, how it's deployed, etc. I see your batteries in the vee berth.

    Through Hull Transducer Install...

Just like the huge wasted space on models that don't have the optional aux fuel tank. I was sticking my camera in the front pie hole on my Seafarer, trying to get an idea of my water tank set-up, and I wondered why didn't they at least put a pie plate over the water tank connections, like they...

    Through Hull Transducer Install...

That is the roomiest bilge I have seen on a GW, even if you have to remove a deck hatch to get to it!

    Scupper Hoses - 225 Tournament

The white sanitation hose is a loose fit on the thru hull and drain barbs. Once I had it in place, with double clamps, I removed the flapper from the transom thru hull, and used a heat gun to warm everything up good before cranking down on the clamps. I would be very careful about getting this...

    Freedom Bow Storage Gets Wet

That's a pretty big opening. Have you tried putting your things in dry bags, or containers, and then you wouldn't have to remove them?

    Remove companion seat back/bolster?

Looks like you have a plastic insert in front of the bolster, behind the folded door. May have to remove that, and see if you can get to the fasteners that way.

    Binoculars

Most 'marine binoculars' are 7 X 50, which is easier to keep an image in view when on a moving boat. When testing, there is no comparison between standing on a showroom floor, and a bouncing boat.

Need help, hoping for help on wiring issue

What do they read when connected to the neg buss? What is the read on that black wire with the battery switch off? If still positive, that narrows down your search considerably, to something like bilge pump connections, and the memory for your radio. If it goes away, I would want to know what...

Quick question on 265 recessed trim tabs

Flush sounds good to me. There is no benefit from negative trim. Are you sure there is any travel even left in the actuator ram?

    Broken driver side panel

I just talked to Ron, at Rusty Ron's Marine Salvage/Island Marina, in Morehead City, NC, and he said that he may have the part. (252-726-5706) He is close to the GW factory, and buys up their surplus parts at the end of production runs, and has a big warehouse, and yard, full of parts for GW and...
