2003 Grady White 232 Gulfstream Pulpit

I much prefer the bow roller I put on my tournament, to the pulpit which came on my Seafarer. (OK, the rusty anchor is gone, and the tennis balls have saved the side of my head and face more than once, when working around the front of the trailer.)

    Helm seats

KY, in post #4, it looks like 2 black knobs under the passenger seat. Does that seat have a slider also? My passenger seat only has a swivel, and will not rotate fully. Mine are like the seats in the link in post #14, with the arm rests coming straight up from the center of the seat.

    Enclosure aluminum rivets?

Pop rivets are often used where the backside is inaccessible, as inside your hardtop frame. If you ever need to remove one, use a 1/4 inch drill bit, and drill into the center of the rivet until the rim pops off, and you can push the rivet on through.

    Enclosure aluminum rivets?

The tool is the same, the only difference is whether you buy aluminum, stainless, or some other material for the rivets. The rivets come in different lengths, and diameters, for the business end, and different shaft sizes for the larger rivets. You will want aluminum rivets, and 1/4 or 5/16...

    “Gelcoat Saver” for anchoring

Re-locating that light, and putting a bow roller there would make everything about that job a lot easier. Use a roller with an open top, rather than a hoop, if you want to pick the anchor up and store it. A pulpit would make that too much of a reach for me, without a bow rail.

    Enclosure aluminum rivets?

That’s a clean looking hole, are you sure there was one there. Sometimes the rails come predrilled. Pop rivets are an easy and convenient fastener.

    E-Box Wind Deflector

Do you have the clear, plexi deflector on the bottom of your e-box, 228 SF. Does it do anything? Anyone removed it? Any difference?

    Side spreader lights

Will the rear spreader lights swivel to the side, without turning the bolt inside the hardtop?

    Toilet for 2005 seafarer 228

I think GW has mostly used Sealand/SaniPottie/Dometic portable toilets. They come with 2 sizes of holding tanks, roughly 2.5 and 5 gallon, which affects the overall height, therefore, you have to make sure your cushions will lay flat if you choose the larger size. Mine is fully plumbed, like...

Premier has some interesting hardware. Anyone know who retails it, other than GW?

    Cabin bulkhead material?

Thanks. What was soggy and rotten, the bulkhead, or the corner piece over the wiring? If there is wood in the bulkhead, I am definitely going to take up that 4 inch wide baseboard, and see what is going on. Hopefully nothing, and I can just recaulk. The corner piece should be easy to replace.

    Thru-hull scupper on 282

If you call customer service, they will usually give you an answer over the phone. 252-52-2111 If they exit through the transom, they probably have a flapper.

    Cut, buff, wax.

This guy gives very detailed instructions, product info, equipment info. Enough to make me realize that this is something that I don't want to do myself. What is deceptive, becasue the video is sped up, is how fast, or slow, that he moves the buffers. At some point, either in this vid or...

    Cabin bulkhead material?

Can someone tell me what the lower portion of the cabin bulkhead is made of, below the fiberglass dash area? 2000 Seafarer. I am seeing some brown stains at the top and bottom of the 1/4 inch molding strip at the bottom, on the port side, which looks like masonite, or something similar. I know...

    Replacing V-Berth Cushions...

It would pay anyone doing cushion, or foam, work to research all the sources in your area. I know that in my area, there is a large mill outlet fabric store(not your typical Joann Fabrics), with a large corner of the place a foam area, with large cutting tables and machines. They have a steady...

    Boat Renaming....

I believe that to please some, you are supposed to leave the old name somewhere on the hull, or in the hull, even if out of sight.
