Bump. There must be someone that has done the bow mount on a Marlin. Did you through bolt the thing? I hate to start drilling without knowing exactly how the bow is built. Next will be a call to Grady, but a photo of placement would be a big plus. Randy

I'm glad I added poles on my triple axle trailer for the Marlin. It will keep it centered if windy conditions make it tough. I used to measure where the fender was with a boathook, no more of that nonsense. Randy

I'm also a believer in Corrosion X products. The HD is good for battery connections, but plain Corrosion X for reel bearings works on my spinners and Avets. I've got a couple 5 gallon buckets of reels to service.

Good review on the Gradys. I love my boat, a 2007 Marlin. I don't use the gender much, perhaps that is why it will now not start. I used it when I had poor, tired batteries and I wanted to drift fish. Now with new batteries I had not used it for a month. It will not even give a click now...

I have the same issue. I thought about trying to use a curved needle to stitch it up but am not sure how to go about hiding a finish knot. I'll have them all done next year so I'll try it at some point, just for the remainder of the year.

My only thought is if the hydraulic fluid used is aircraft grade which is red, and you nicked a line as the rod holder was removed. No help but check the location of the hydraulic lines.

Mine is a 6 person cannister, mounted on the roof. I'd rather have it on the bow, but was not sure of drilling holes there.

I run off the stern tank when tuna fishing. As we use up the fuel and the stern becomes a bit lighter allowing me to pack tuna in so as to avoid getting too stern heavy. Halibut and dalmon fishing is not much of a concern so I burn a tank per engine.
