    Fuel tank select valves

Looking down on the valve handle, the shorter end should point to the tank you wish to use. It should also look like a small arrow, but hard to see sometimes .

    1990 Grady 252G Information

I have the 1992 252G and you got me curious. I just went out and pushed on the sides in same area you mention and it barely has any deflection. Very solid. I don't know if they changed anything from 90 to 92 but mine has the inner liner which is fairly thick that is just on the inside which...

HPDI 200 - how smooth should it run at low RPM?

Definitely check the O2 sensor and O2 Sensor Draw Tube. I have found that this is the culprit of my idle issues and cold start issues when the carbon has built up and starts to clog the air flow. I have tried everything to reduce the carbon, but now down to each season, do a Seafoam decarb...

Grady 248 Voyager Cabin door seal?

I find the size from Taco Marine and find a source like Amazon to place the order. https://tacomarine.com/weather-seal

    Cut, buff, wax.

I have been using the HF $27 polishers last few years...they do the job, but don't do well managing the slow speeds needed at times. I splurged and went with the Dewalt since it has speed management and also am using the dual sided wool pads. Man, she is smooth, powerful and the speed management...

    fuel gauge

Looks like this is the one you might have: https://www.toddusa.com/pdf/todd-marin-fuel-sender.pdf That terminal connection does not look like it is very good. Maybe is just gooped up. Also, looks like someone has been there before with a different screw than the others. At this point, I would...

    fuel gauge

Go with a WEMA and save yourself the frustration of other more mechanical types. If the length is not already stamped on top if you have a WEMA, then likely you will need to pull yours out and measure it to order and you should be able to replace it without too much issue. But they do a lot of...

    Bracket leaking bad

Leecoll, doesn't yours have the drain plugs on the bottom? Mine is the Springfield bracket with swim platform over the top which covers one of the 3 inspection plates. It has 2 drain plugs on the bottom, which I had to replace since they were a nightmare to remove when I first purchased my boat...

    Bracket leaking bad

Why go to all the troubles filling with something. That is just a bandaid. Find the culprit and Seal it right and be done with it. As mentioned, check the access hatch after making sure it is properly sealed. Maintenance is always present on a boat.

    Bracket leaking bad

It took me about a year to figure out the areas where water was seeping in my bracket. I sealed with 4200 around the bracket and bolts, used teflon tape on the drain plug for the bracket. This helped, but was still gettting some water in. Finally, I figured out the round pop outs were leaking in...

    LED spreader lights recommendations

Yes, there was already a hole and plastic grommet there before from previous owner, so I was able to remove the plug and just push wire through and silicone around it.

    LED spreader lights recommendations

Was able to get a couple of updated photos today for better view. I wish they made a cover for the light. Trailering, it gets bugs on the plastic which over time will likely destroy the lens.

    Size anchor vs dock lines

I second SecoSouth! Best price and great product. Thinking of doing a refresh this year from them for my 600' 8 plait with 30- 1/4" G4. I have the Profish 700 windlass. 8 Plait is really good stuff and stores perfectly as mentioned above.

    Can of worms story...

Sad you can't get to the bilge area. In my 252G model, I pull the rear floor panel and have full access to almost everything in the bilge. When I installed my second backup 2000GPH rule, I noticed a really foul smell and it was the rotted wood piece that was glassed to the bottom of the hull to...

Rocket Launcher Rod Holders? 330 Express

I am looking to find any pics of any rocket launchers modified to be lowered as well. If anyone has any good pics, would appreciate it. I was just discussing doing this with my fabricator, but would like to see what they look like and can share those ideas to make sure it would work right for my...

    Helm seats

Sorry, I don't get email notifications anymore so don't know anyone asked a question. That white square is the Raymarine Depth finder which is so hard to see, I never use it, but I have my Lowrance HDS's to do that anyhow. I use the Lowrance autopilot which works great.

Autopilot Compass Location on Grady 330 Express

While not a 330 model, I mounted my RC42 in the forward berth hatch. I made a PVC bracket to mount it to, then mounted the bracket to inside the berth storage, so it is low, centered, not near any wires/speakers and metal. Also it is out of the way protected in this area.

    Horn replacement

I have the Schmitt & Ongaro All-Stainless Mini Compact Twin Horn and every year after sitting, I have to pull the covers, adjust the tension screws to get them to work again. They point down, so feel the internals are not up to par with any long term reliability. Also, I think they sound...

    LED spreader lights recommendations

Bob, fyi...I replaced my Delta anchor with a new Mantus. The angle downward is less than the Delta and does not seem to obstruct nearly as much. I will find out for sure once I can get it down to the water and do a real test at night.
