Wiring to Fuel Main/Aux panel switch on helm

When I said the feed comes from somewhere, I meant somewhere on the aux buss. That would be hot when the battery switches were on. I also said the purple wire was connected to pin 2 which also has the hot (aux power) feed. Once the battery switch is on, it stays hot. The only reason the OP needs...

Factory repair to balsa coring on a Marlin and impact on value

The repairs I am aware of were done at the owners location. Grady has a travelling team that does some repairs in the field. In the case of the balsa issues on the side hulls, the are repaired can be quite large, several feet by a few feet tall. The repair was not obvious at all afterwards. The...

    Gulfstream 232 wire run

Yup, that panel has to be removed to get access to the cables to route them up into the control. The old cables will also most likely we tie wrapped to other cables. There should be a lot of stuff behind that panel. On some hulls there is an access plate in the cabin behind the helm that allows...

Thru Hull vs In Hull transducer

A shoot thru hull ducer can work as well as a thru hull in many cases. You may loose some depth range since the signal will be attenuated. But... bottom paint mat interfere or lessen the signal and all bets are off if the hull is cored. As far as I know no grady hulls are cored.

Wiring to Fuel Main/Aux panel switch on helm

Isnt that what I said?. The feed to the purple wire comes from the fact that it is a two wire connection to terminal 2 with the other wire being a 12v feed from somewhere. The only thing the left side of the switch does is internally light the LEDs

Factory repair to balsa coring on a Marlin and impact on value

Ig Grady did the repairs, I would confident that it was done well.

Wiring to Fuel Main/Aux panel switch on helm

If the 12v feed is connected to lug 2 along with the purple that powers the gauge ( nothing on 1 and 3), the leds will show which switch position is selected and the gauge will be powered any time the aux feed of 12v to pin 2 is live.

Where do i find out about radar?

Is you MFD (C120) also 12 years old? These days, electronics go 'obsolete' pretty quickly. For the current equipment, you need to get documentation for your dome. The model number should be on it somewhere and it may also be on the 120 is one of the configuration screens. The docs will help you...

Wiring to Fuel Main/Aux panel switch on helm

What pin were you planning to connect to the gauge power lead? If you tie 1,2 and 3 together, both leds will always be lit. Since there is probably only one wire for the gauge power you would have to splice the signals from 1 and 3 together and that will make both leds light up.

    Gulfstream 232 wire run

The snaking can be hit and miss depending on how stuffed or empty the pvc cable chase is. I prefer cutting the old ducer cable aft and using that to pull a rope or the new transducer cable. The fiberglass snakes are much better than the older metal electrician's snake. The end you snake from (...

Throttle Cables for Express 330 2006

No prob. Look up Seastar Extreme cables. They are good quality and are ( or were) a decent price. You did mention throttle cables but I hope you plan on replacing throttle and shift since they are probably the same age. I think this model is correct (call and verify correct part numbers...

Wiring to Fuel Main/Aux panel switch on helm

I have to agree with Skunk in that the gauge should not be powered by the switch but by the ignition signal instead. In your plan, ho would you run the power to the gauge, tie pins 1 and three together and run that single lead to power the gauge? If you do then both leds on the switch will be...

    Flag/Burgee options

I had the same experience. The cloth of the burgee brushed my ear as it flew by! I don't run a flag up there anymore but if I did as Legend says, I would connect a safety wire to it and the rail.

    transom deck scuppers

It looks like the left scupper in your picture is the motor well drain (assuming you have a motor well. Those are usually plastic like Marelon. If the tube that runs through the transom is OK, it is easy and cheap to replace the outside fitting. The right fitting is probably the scupper for the...

Throttle Cables for Express 330 2006

Its best to determine what the current cable length is. The part number and implied length is (was) printed on the cable sheath end perhaps on the helm end or on the motor end. Take a look at the cables to see if you can find the part number. You can call Grady and ask and they are usually...

You have listed so many negatives If you are concerned about getting back if an engine dies, don't get 350s:)

Wiring to Fuel Main/Aux panel switch on helm

I didn't see in the amazon where it says the switch is momentary. In fact, in the Q&A section, someone asks if it is momentary and the reply was No. According to you original diagram and the diagram in the Amazon link, the wiring on the right back side of the switch should be correct. I don't...
