    Soft spot !

If you drill holes to insert epoxy to stabilize the affected area, you can use an Allen wrench or bent nail to remove some rotten core material and provide a ‘place’ for the epoxy to penetrate and settle and bond. This is helpful for any loose deck beddings too - epoxy and redrill and reseal...

    Cabin window leak

Could try Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure. Otherwise it might be a bigger project to reseal it well enough to last.

What are you paying for insurance?

~$400 per year w geico/BoatUS $8,000 agreed upon value for my ‘84 overnighter (with ‘02 engine) and trailer. They consider years of boat ownership, years of boat operating, driving history, location, etc.

    Cabin table

Could try just brackets like this but it wouldn’t fold, you’d take it off and stow https://www.catalinadirect.com/shop-by-boat/capri-25/interior/improved-under-table-latch-assembly/ https://www.catalinadirect.com/shop-by-boat/capri-26/interior/table-leg-with-bracket/

    Arm rests removal

Try some liquid wrench penetrating oil for the stuck pin. All else fails, could always go with the dremel and cut it off, but maybe overkill. Might also be able to replace the seats and sell the old as is.

    New Grady Freedom 325

nothing to find in a brand new boat, looks like a beaut. Get yourself comfortable with the features and handling. Keep up with the maintenance and it will look like that for a decade or more.

    stainless angle

Can smear a product called tefgel between dissimilar metals to prevent galvanic corrosion (ie stainless rivet into aluminum mast on a sailboat). Also can get dielectric tape to put in between. Can’t say if either would hold up longer term. Agree with others that glassing over the top would...

Anyone come up with tool to straighten anchors out?

Might need to try either a larger anchor or maybe a different shape than the danforth. Some anchors pivot from side to side. Maybe try to secure/brace along the cross part and use a ratchet come-along or a long bar/tube as a lever over the bent stem.

    Boat Insurance

Insurance is cheap enough regardless, I mean saving 10%-20% to shop around might be worth it on an expensive boat, but for me it’s like $30-50, which is far from the expensive aspects of a boat. I just like that Geico has the BoatUS and towboat affiliation. Can always try to pull a lever to save...

How To , Kicker on Grady 192

You can use a garelick Fulton or panther brand motor mount probably up to 25-35 hp to be safe. Many smaller Hp mounts aren’t great durability. Use good backing plates for the washers and nuts. Measure carefully where you put it so it adjusts above and below the waterline. I got a used 9.9hp...

Advice for 84 Grady / 02 Volvo Penta

Thanks, I may need some luck. The trailer is a bit of a mess even though a 2008, a little adventurous getting it launched last week. Engine seems to fire up nicely, might need new batteries soon. Added a 9.9 Nissan kicker. Hoping to get a few years then upgrade. There is not a lot of...

Advice for 84 Grady / 02 Volvo Penta

Hi, I recently purchased and launched my 1984 Overnighter 205 I/O with 2002 Volvo Penta 4.3GL (GM engine) this past week in San Rafael CA. I’d welcome any advice/feedback for this model GW/VP. My experience has largely been with outboards but I couldn’t pass up a pretty Grady at a reasonable...
