2003 Grady White Express 33 with Suzuki 350 duoprop

It's tough to get an idea of what it looks like or how much is there from where I'm sitting :) But maybe a better way to explain "normal" is to say that the shavings you find on the magnet are more like fine to large dust particles. Do those engines have mechanical or electronic shifting?

Adding a Table to the rear cockpit

Garelick, Todd, Wise etc - all of these manufacturer's make tables and tables bases. Many (practically all, actually) of the bases would be consdiered flush mount bases. The bases stick up about 1/4" above the floor. That is the norm. You'll need a spot to allow the "cup" of the base to...

Advice? Going to check out this Tournament 192

The market right now is crazy (still). Truthfully, $15K is all that far off, all things considered - especially as it looks cared for (from the pics, anyways). Bonus points if the transom is solid! The motor may be quite good, still - 2-strokes can run pretty much forever if cared for... but...

Advice? Going to check out this Tournament 192

One thing I'd note about the power - it all depends on what you want to do with it. My parents have an identical boat with a 150HP on it. And I gotta say - that is MORE than enough power. It gets used in inland coastal waters and close-by offshore in Maine - we also pull the kids on tubes and...

    Hardtop paint-265Express

Just throwing out an idea to make more work you :) What if you ALSO painted the hull side in the same color as the hardtop - or maybe just the part of the hull between the striping and the rubrail?

    Hardtop paint-265Express

I guess against white it won't really be that big of a deal. And it still eliminates the awkward contrast of two different whites next to each other. Hey... a better idea... paint the topside in camo and then it won't be an issue at all since it will just blend in with the surroundings!

    Hardtop paint-265Express

As far as the color on top goes, if it was me I would probably skip it. This is just me trying to imagine how it would look, but I think you're really only going to see a tiny bit of it around the edge... and do you have blue canvas? That might look odd having a band of color right next to the...

    Hardtop paint-265Express

I know - even the color chips I have in the store are pretty darn small. Mixing is pretty straight forward - and one quart is MORE than enough. Meaning, you only have to mix once - it's not like you have to duplicate it. IF you wanted to go this route, you could easily experiment by mixing 1...

    Hardtop paint-265Express

Well, I already mentioned that Awlgrip is great stuff earlier. But I guess you'd have to take the time to actually read to see that. I'm not trying to change your mind - but it seems you're trying to change our minds by forcing your opinion on us of something (EasyPoxy) you don't know anything...

    Hardtop paint-265Express

I thought I had a better picture of the boat, but this is the only one. My 17-yr old son chose Seafoam green for the skiff - told him he can do whatever he wants with it. I'm posting this so you can see a real life color (depending on computer screen, of course). In "my opinion", it might be...

    Hardtop paint-265Express

I was thinking the same thing - using a contrasting color means you don't have to try and match the color of the boat... HUGE "plus" for using a different color! Granted, it's far enough away from the hull that it probably won't matter, but if it does happen to be noticeable then you get to...

    Hardtop paint-265Express

OK, so it's fair to say that you don't have experience with this and are making a groos overgeneralization. As I mentioned, I have plenty of experience with EasyPoxy so, excuse my bluntness, but experience trumps inexperienced generalizations. FYI... EasyPoxy is about $45 per quart. Awlgrip...

    Hardtop paint-265Express

Jimmy, can I ask why you say that? Do you have actual experience with EasyPoxy? I have it on the cockpit floor of my Grady - for 6 years, now. Also did an entire skiff with it... and numerous projects in the past.

Looking to purchase backdrop curtain for my 2020 GW 208 Adventure

Yeah, I would double check on that. $2K doesn't seem right for a piece of floppy canvas.

    REMOVING GAS GENERATOR FROM MARLIN

Pics of the area you are working in will help. But is the genny floor removable?

    Navy Blue Hull and scratches?

You said you contacted Grady and they told you they didn't paint hulls. Do you mean that you contacted a dealer? Those are two different things. Contact Grady directly to get a color code.

    Access panel removal behind electronics

If you don't have what Elyse is showing, can you post a picture of the clips? That would help us. I was envisioning L-shaped brackets, top and bottom, with the upper bracket being deeper to allow the upward movement for removal... and then gravity keeps it in place. However, sometimes...

    rebuilt powerhead

Thanks, Carlo. It's good you clarified it for him - my initial thought was it was out on Long Island (the "Hamptons").

Can't say for sure, but try sliding it UP, then tilt it out from the bottom.

Looking to purchase backdrop curtain for my 2020 GW 208 Adventure

I'm not sure if this is true for Grady, but many boat manufacturers and canvas suppliers have contracts where you can not buy direct from the canvas maker for 3 or 5 years. On your existing canvas or bimini there should be a manufacturer tag. Call and ask. Or just have it made locally. What...
