I picked out the fully adjustable model. Here is the link I think was the same one's I purchased. http://tacomarine.com/product/F16-2630- ... Rod-Holder I will try to get a pic and post here where and how they mounted.

    Hardtop Pipe Size

Hi Fred, I used the Taco Clamp on's and really like them as they are very adjustable. Not so sure every model has same pipe, but once you find out what you have, check the Taco's out. I am going on 4th year with them and no issues and they are holding up very well.

    aluminum trim

It is self adhesive. Just clean area with Acetone to remove any wax and have a hear gun handy if needed for any sharper bends. Also it has a small 90 degree edge on the bottom. If your fiberglass is touching the deck, you can use a oscillating flush cut blade to trim the bottom so the vinyl...

    aluminum trim

I replaced mine last season with the Grady Vinyl Trim like they are using on the newer boats. It went on great and looks great! I found it on Ebay.

    Rewiring

I also replaced mine last year with the Blue Seas. Top notch device for sure! No more flaking out of radios, etc. Good clean solid connections.

    Sending unit question / Help

I had to replace both of mine within a year after I got the boat. Not hard to do and not that expensive. Most of us are getting them from WEMA and they are quality units. Just measure the depth of the tank and you can order from them. I think you subtract an inch from the total depth, but...

    Matching Grady White Blue?

I picked up a can of Navy Blue spray paint from Lowes and it is a near perfect match.

New to the board- Sailfish 272 ?s

Congrats on a fine boat! You will love her! I replaced mine with the Shurflo Pro Blaster. It is great. The original pumps were Shurflo installed by Grady and they lasted 23 years, so no reason to move away hoping they still make them as good as back then. I actually added a second pump...

    Replacement trailer axle

Give Eastern Trailer a call and ask for Chris. He is a great guy and knows his stuff. He might be able to cross reference an axle for you and one with replaceable spindles. My Road King has replaceable spindles and not hard job to do. I replaced all 4 of mine last year and upgraded brakes, etc.

    Swim Platform

Bumpye, do a search on here and you will find some recore jobs several of us have done. Not a bad job. I did mine and it made a huge difference. Everyone has a different approach to it. I used Pro Balsa to keep the weight down and keep the strength. Others like to use ply and some the new tech...

    Tackle Center in Cabin

fellenger, I sent you a PM. The dimensions are 16 3/4" Wide X 17.5" Tall X 10" deep. When you get ready to build yours, leave space on sides wider than boxes to allow use of extra leader packs or whatever and also helps to get your fingers on sides to grab the boxes to slide out. Stack your...

    Tackle Center in Cabin

Hi! So far, no issues. I absolutely love this setup. Very convenient and holds lots of stuff. These containers are very heavy and we went through some long brutal seas last season with no signs of stress. I am impressed with the pvc.

    Favorite Ethanol Treatment

Startron and Yamaha Ring Free Plus. First change of VST and all filters on motor and all were free of any of that white stuff from ethanol corrosive affects. No rubber pieces found. Running perfectly. Have been using Startron on former boat since it first came out and never had any fuel...

1995 Grady White Sailfish Trailer Setup Help

Agree Dennis, I haven't found the wrap arounds that fit the boards that I have. They are bigger than 2X4's. The bunks are huge. Also, not so sure I want it to be too slick especially during a hard braking or accident. That is a lot of weight to allow movement so easily. I also don't trust...

1995 Grady White Sailfish Trailer Setup Help

Interesting. First I heard of this slick. The Mary Kate Liquid Rollers seems to dry up and I have never noticed a slick in the water. It takes most of the year for it to wear off, so likely if it does leach some oils in the water, it is likely way less than the Grease and WD 40 coatings from...

1995 Grady White Sailfish Trailer Setup Help

I had some sticking issues also on the carpet, but spray now with the bunk spray and issue goes away. Easy fix. Launch boat and when coming back from a day of fishing, carpet dries out, then give it a good spray before re-loading the boat and you will see a dramatic difference in the loading and...

    Outrigger rigging upgrade

I use the mono and it does ok. However, I am intrigued by the spyderline dyneema. How would this work pulling through the eyelets, not using pulleys? How do you tie these off? Do you use crimps?

    Cleaning Cabin Cushions

I have cleaned mine several times. The approach I have is to mist some upholstery cleaner spray on the cloth, rub it in, then do a quick spray rinse with water hose. I allow them to drip dry on a 5 gallon bucket with fans blowing on them in the garage, rotating occassionally. In a couple of...

    Covering Adventure with Tarp

I used a tarp and built a 1" PVC structure to allow the tarp to have a peak for snow/rain to run off. I just used the grommets and rope to tie off to trailer. Also used some bungees periodically to keep it taught. The back has a peak which keeps it open and I can still enter/exit during the...
