Where to get replacement bow pulpit?

Thanks Grog. I will use polyester resin and cloth to build it up. I can't believe how thick the filler is though since I don't see any wood exposed. I am guessing a chunk about an inch deep on mine on the corner, so maybe that is thicker there than in the flat areas.

Where to get replacement bow pulpit?

Mine has some damage also, maybe not that much of a chunk out, but it is on the back side near the deck. I will likely be pulling the pulpit off this fall/winter as next project, glass fill to level and re-gelcoat. Should not be that hard to do it. One thing I am not sure of is what kind of...

    Washdown and Live Well

dencaw, make sure you don't have an airlock. Once in the water, work the sea cock valve several times open/closed/open, then move your plastic valve back and forth with pump on and see if it starts to pump. If noise and no water, it likely is time to replace it. Check in the livewell to see if...

    Which Anchor?

Excellent! I will check it to make sure, but it looked to be about 6ga.

    Which Anchor?

I was wondering about that actually. The Marinco website has a chart. If I understand it correctly, there should not be more than a 3% voltage drop over the entire length of the cable including length from battery + to device and back to - at battery. So in this case, if I estimate 50' total...

    Which Anchor?

Thanks BobP, forgot that the rode can extend down into the middle locker. Looking at the Lewmar 700 Profish FF and the wireless remote so I can control any issues and watch it from below or above if needed to relieve any tangles. The Profish comes with the solenoid and breaker. Just need to...

    Which Anchor?

billfish33, did more reading and checking out that anchor. Sounds pretty impressive overall and a real good price for a polished SS model in comparison to the Delta SS which is way out of price range. You have any pics of the roller and with anchor snugged up to roller? Not sure, but might end...

    1986 Seafarer 227: 5/6/14 Update - Stringer extension prep

Re: 1986 Seafarer 227 Repairs, Updates and Upgrades Yeah, I take Pascoe with a grain also on some point. Was just trying to show about the intentions and not to put a plain alum. tank in there and more rubber strips. :) I did follow his detail on the PVC strips and extended them beyond the...

    Which Anchor?

Great info and thanks for the pics. Some folks in the past mentioned that the Sailfish sportbridge model has a pretty large anchor locker. Dunno myself if 500' will fit well, but it sure looks like it would to me. Anyone out there know for sure with this same model? I have looked at some of...

    Which Anchor?

This model has a pretty large locker area. I also have room to push it aside if it is too much for normal deployment. I was assuming I needed this much to anchor in approx. 100' of water with a 5 to 1 scope? Do I need this much? I know in my smaller boat, I used to anchor in 100' all the...

    Which Anchor?

Thanks for the info....do you notice any different behaviour up front when the Delta is up there vs the Fortress? I haven't as of yet seen any time where I was worried about burying the bow so maybe the weight is not an issue. In regards to trim, I am usually putting the front down a bit now...

    Which Anchor?

Getting ready to get the Lewmar Profish 700 FF with 500' of 8 strand rope and approx. 15' of chain. When looking at the Lewmar Delta anchor's, it says the 14# is big enough for this size boat, but thought I had read in past most folks with this size boat used the 22# anchor? There is quite a...

    1992 Sailfish Tank Removal

Pulled my tanks this winter and re-coated them with Coal Tar Epoxy. Not hard to remove. Like others said, access through panels and remove wedges and screws. I replaced all my hoses for peace of mind. I have to say, all the hoses I removed were all in great shape and not even dry rotted. Inside...

Wiper motor and blades (2000 sailfish)

I pick up my replacement wiper blades from Car Quest. Part number is 75-200. Picked up my replacement wiper motor from West Marine. Exact fit and was nearly exact design as original from Grady. Nice to know I can finally just get one off the shelf when/if needed. Finding the wiper blades was...

    Cost effective radar system

Lowrance 3G is outstanding for close up detail. You will not be disappointed. 4G is even better, but not so much worth it for most folks for the extra cost. Thrilled with my HDS10 with 3G radar!

    High Water Alarm

I ordered all my wire from Tinned Marine Wire webside and used 14 ga. Check out their prices! Quality is excellent. I had to run 25 feet for each color and also more wire for my second emergency bilge, so saved a lot of $$ using these folks!
