What's the beef about Grady on that other boating forum

SE, do your windows open on your GW? The bow pulpit you said it looks cheap, but it may not actually be cheap? Do the pulpit bolts pose a weak point where water can penetrate over time? Sure does. Is the trade off of having an option for the pulpit or not for the buyer worth having two molds...

What's the beef about Grady on that other boating forum

Southeast, my windows on my 228 open? Do yours not? I was window shoping on an Express 330 (2008 model year) and the genset was easilt accessible with a hinged compartment door. Grady is nt Perfect and I will concede Pursuit does somethings better, maybe a lot of things. What I don't get is...

What's the beef about Grady on that other boating forum

Hey Guys: When Kyle is sleeping I have been taking care of my business and surfing the web. I surfed THT reading topics of interest. I noticed when Grady White is brought up in a comparison type thread, folks just love to rag on the brand usually starting off with being over priced and then...

Thanks guys...Mike glad you posted a link to Shriners. They do good work for sure. Kyle had a much better day today and hopefully tonight too. I must say something. Y'all have been very very uplifting and warm. All to often internet groups are hostile and rude places, we need not go far in...

    My son...not really Grady related

Thanks guys. Kyle is a handsome fella for sure. And yes, the companion seat on the 228 is his favorite on the boat. He loves sitting next to me. When we return, we will resize some boating pics from last year and you will see that boy with a huge smile on his face....thanks again. Ps...I am...

    My son...not really Grady related

Hey yall: I have a confession of sorts. We chose Shriners because they provide good pediatric care. I learned today 100% of Kyles care is covered by Shriners. I felt bad as we have pretty good insurance and have the ability to pay. I know where I am going to be sending some support in the future.

    My son...not really Grady related

Yall, are the best! :D Thanks for everything. Kyle is out of the surgery and in recovery. I have not seen him yet. The surgery corrected significant rotation in his hip. He had nearly 60 degrees of rotation in his right hip and almost 40 degrees in his left hip. I am going to take pics with...

    My son...not really Grady related

I am relatively new here on this forum and from what I can tell, not many post personal info here. We are into boating because my son, Kyle who is now 11, loves being on boats. He is cortically blind, has epilepsy and cerebral palsey. He had meningitis as an infant. The boat was the first...

Tragic story here on the website

Thanks for posting the link. It is a very sad story for sure. The other part of the story that struck me quite odd, is the owner of the Grady never once asked his son what happened on the water that day? What the H E double hockey sticks kind crappy parent is that? Your kid just killed...

Tragic story here on the website

Hey yall: I read the story posted here of the young man near Clearwater Fla who was killed trying to assist a boat off of a sandbar. The story is tragic. It is a reminder for all of us to be alert to what is going on around the boat, especially the stern. The story is here I suspect because...

    SV-2 vs. non-SV-2

This is a tough call. See a 20 year old boat with a newer motor is still a 20 year old hull. The trade off is getting a newer hull with slighly older motor or newer motor with older hull...you are saying no duh. Is the older boat in good shape? Are there any soft spots in the deck? Is the...

    Wax or Polish?

The forum is great because it is filled with great folks willing to help.... Hey all the Collinite users...how far does a container of that stuff go? I am a Meguaires guy, but I am willing to give the collinite a try. I will be near a west marine this week and will pick up the collinite...

    SV-2 vs. non-SV-2

My advice is sea trial them if you can. I suspect there may be few more Sv2 boats to choose from these days. Find one for sale and ask if they will sea trial with you. If you find a non Sv2 sea trial that and determine the differences. In the theorhetical world, if the old hull design was so...

    trolling with yamie 150hp

I had a single 150 and it trolled fine. Not sure why the need for a kicker when you got twins? Are you up north doing those 2 mph trolls? It might explain your question better. Most of my trollung is around 6 to 10 for warmer water species...
