    Electronics box hatch

I agree that the Grady replacement hinges must be a whole lot better as they cost 3 times as much (at least my Grady replacement hinges did) even though they look exactly alike :doh

    Marlin: Reverse Cycle Heat

Randy I've been advised by multiple generator techs that the genny needs to be run a minimum of one hour per month under load. Virtually, everyone I've spoken to has told me that the more you run the generator the less trouble you will have.

    Ringfree

You're correct Parthery, Domo has been very prompt with delivery - as far as customer service I can't comment as I have never had to contact them. As long as their price remains about the same I have no reason to go any place else

    Marlin 300 fuel tank advice

Again, I'm not a Marlin owner but close enough. I'm assuming the Marlin is setup like the 330 where the generator (if there is one) runs off the Aux tank (150 gal) burning approx. one gallon per hour. The Main tank on my boat holds 200 gallons. I have the Garmin GFS10 fuel computers and...

    Tight Gear Shift

I've got a 330 and had the same problem, it turned out to be a cable issue. For me, the problem was with the starboard engine and it was difficult to adjust the engine rpm's while running. It was suggested that I replace both cables at the same time, which I did 2 years ago and no problem...

330 and Marlin(?) side vent pulls

I am having a problem with the side vent pulls on my 330. One of the pulls has separated from the "base" at the swivel point. The other three pulls seem to jam at the swivel point when closing. The problem appears to be that the connector is some type of rivet. I am hoping that someone else...

Busted for riding on the bow

We do the same thing all the time in calm waters. In Florida, I have passed FWC patrol boats and have not had any issues but I would be interested in knowing if it is illegal in Florida waters.

Need help from older model 330 owners

Bob Thanks for the input. I will be down at the boat the end of next week & I will try to determine which of the two alternatives to try. If the one I pick gives me good results, I've got it solved. If not, it's on to the second alternative. BTW I noticed in your signature that we are in...

    Fridge facts

My boat is in a slip with shore power. I go down to the boat about once a month and stay from 7-10 days. I leave the fridge on full time & run on dc power when I leave the dock. When I leave to return home, I take all perishable food out and fill it with the drinks that were in the cooler...

Need help from older model 330 owners

Ahill I wasn't familiar with barrel bolts but after googling them it looks like a much easier solution than fender washers and nuts. Thanks for the suggestion. Regards,

Need help from older model 330 owners

Jim thanks for the input. After you drilled out the dowels, were you able to thread the holes so that the SS bolts gripped to put tension on the hatch? I was thinking of using 5200 to glue a washer to the underside of the grommet and then glue a nut to the washer to give me gripping power -...

Need help from older model 330 owners

I have a 2002 330 and have been battling an issue with the lift out hatch for the generator and strainers for the four years I've owned the boat. The only way I have been able to keep water from entering the aft bilge is to caulk around the hatch but it is a royal PITA when I have to get access...

    336 Canyon- what length outriggers

When I bought my 330 it had Lee Seniors on it - 7' layout base & 18' triple rigged poles. I kept it in dry storage and gigantic PITA every time I had it launched & put back. I solved that problem by running under a 20' bridge with 25' outriggers. I now have the same 7' bases with Taco 18'...

33 Express Pop Up Electronics Enclosure

Gradynorm Here is a photo of the 5212's that were glassed in. I'll be back home late next week & will try to find how much I paid. I can't figure out how to reduce the size of the photo - it is in iPhoto if anyone can help I would appreciate it. If you right click on it and open in a new tab...

33 Express Pop Up Electronics Enclosure

I purchased a 2002 330 in Nov 2011 - it came with Furuno vintage 2002. I had the electronics removed and then had the console removed. I was going to mount two Garmin 5212's so I had a local fiberglass guy fill in and gelcoat everything but the two cutouts for the 5212's. I don't think there...

Anybody go from a Marlin 300 to a 330 Express

Fischer My boat is at the north end of the 7 mile bridge & Big Pine is at the south end of the bridge. If you are still looking to "sea trial" a 330 at that time give me a shout & if we are down there you got a ride

Anybody go from a Marlin 300 to a 330 Express

Fischer I have a 2002 330 with 225's that I bought 3 1/2 years ago. I came from a 22' Pursuit so I can't comment on the differences between the 300 & 330. I was concerned about the 225's as far as power issues. Grady customer service sent me performance stats for 225's and 250's - from what...

    Advice on re-bottom painting a 330

I had the bottom repainted three years ago when I bought the boat. I keep it in high/dry storage and it's not in the water for more than a week at a time. Bottom paint is thin is spots due to a grounding on a sand bar at 2:30 am when I dragged anchor for 1 mile (yes, I changed the anchor and...
