LaPorte’s is a local company that makes covers and has a very good reputation. Hard to recommend a specific type of cover not knowing if you have a hardtop and other features on your boat, but my guess is they’ve built covers for most configurations. find them on YT and their own site

I had this for a year or two. Great boat, and with the 300 it would just touch 50 mph light. Just a guess, but the Yam 250 would be adequate power. I redid the dash with help from New Wire Marine, updating the chartplotter and moved the VHF. The bracket helps it feel like a much larger boat.

I think either the 350 or 400 Verado would transform the performance of your boat. Being rated for 500 HP I wouldn’t be concerned with the transom other than some maintenance after removing your old motor. You can get digital controls and I think digital steering making it fairly easy to rig...

I try to give the motor some good exercise every outing. Not for extended periods but 5500+ rpm for a few minutes. The 4.2l motors, I read on the internet:cool:, can “make oil”. The “fix” for that issue is high rpm runs for extended periods.
