    205 Freedom instrument panel

I posted in another thread in General Discussion of a dash I remodeled on a Freedom 225. I had New Wire make the new dash panel. The hole I cut in the dash followed the outside edge of the new panel minus roughly 1/2”, so within reason and very important to minimize work extended wiring, cables...

    Grady 205 Biggest GPS?

You may want to consider a new dash panel. This is a dash from a Freedom 225 that I ordered a custom panel from New Wire Marine. All the cut outs were done by them In a carbon fiber substrate. The toggle switches/breakers didn’t need to be rewired once the factory zip ties were cut as there was...

    Missing cup holder drain tubing

You should find small white plastic “grommets“ with a ~1/4” hole in them, usually on a vertical surface adjacent to the cockpit floor underneath cupholders. tI’ve only really seen a need for the drains when I wash the boat. make sure the helm console cupholders are plumbed so they don’t spill...

    Ski Pylon

Uneducated guess…the nut was over tightened when installed and the threads are galled. Stainless is relatively soft. Since it’s already at a machine shop, cut the nut off and rethread the shaft on a lathe. It would end up an inch or two shorter but as long as it clears the motor cowling should...

Battery issues on my 2021 F285 - dealer replace or West Marine DIY?

Are you measuring the 11.5v when you’re actively starting the engine(s)? If so, the voltage drop when starting may be normal. Are there any other symptoms of weak batteries, like electronics shutting down?

    Block GW sailfish 282

Is there a ramp convenien? If so, take a few tools to loosen the winch stand bolts. After getting to the ramp, move winch stand to desired position, retighten bolts, leaving winch strap connected. Back trailer down until boat floats, winch up to new position. Make sure to do on a busy Saturday...

Marinco makes a bulkhead fitting for plugging in an extension cord. I installed one recently to power a dual bank NOCO Genius charger.

Full cover needed for slipped 2021 228 seafarer

Maybe check Taylor Made. They are the factory vendor for my bow and cockpit covers, Bimini, Bimini dodger and side curtains. They’re also the vendor for the windshield on my 24 Freedom 215.

Full cover needed for slipped 2021 228 seafarer

This is a local business that has a great reputation: https://laporteproducts.com/ No affiliation other than I bought a console curtain from them for a center console. For slipped/lift kept boats they use sandbags you clip to cover loops to keep the cover taut.

    2021 GW Fisherman 257 Windsheild

Whether it’s glass or plastic, there are polishes for both that should remove water spots. My wife decided to remove some bugs from the windshield on her SUV using scotchbrite and I polished those out using a silica polish, iirc, and a Flex polisher. Plastic should be significantly easier to polish.

New Grady or Used Pursuit for First Time Boat Buyer/Owner

I looked closely at a DC235 5 years or so ago. Actually, I was lusting over the boat… Went to see one at our local dealer and the hardtop was too low on the leading and rear edges. I had to duck to get under the hardtop. Had some clearance once under it, but pictured clumps of my forehead stuck...

    Advice - Leaning towards a Tournament/Freedom 225

Here’s a 225 I owned a few boats ago. Don’t remember the exact year it was, 2016-2017 I would guess. The bracket offers more cockpit room for a 22’ boat. As to the layout accommodating 8 people, I think the boat was rated for that or more but how comfortable they are is a different question. If...

    Freedom 235 hardtop access

Not familiar with your exact hardtop, but on an Edgewater I had the hardtop pipework had a pipe that was open to underneath the helm console that the wiring for the hardtop devices was run through. I was adding a coax run for a VHF. Once you find the access hole, the fun begins….
