    B275 or B265 thru-hull transducer on Express 330

I don't know if mine is the same size but here's some info. I installed an Airmar B175H to starboard of the ~6" high rib that's down in there. This is one of two structural ribs that you see in the aft bilge area. There is a pretty decent sized flat area there and mine is a chirp with 20...

    2005 330 Express upgrades

"What's the best practice for installing the new ones as far as using a sealant in the screw holes and under the port? Is a sealant/epoxy/caulking needed? " >>> In my opinion, I would not use the old holes but rather twist the rim of the screw in port a few degrees and drill new holes. I used...

    2005 330 Express upgrades

With all due respect and for the sake of safety, Have you removed the 5 pop out inspection ports in the transom splash well yet? Best upgrade anyone can do on a 330 is to remove these 5 and toss them in the garbage. Then install 5 Beckson (or equivalent) screw in types. The pop out types...

Your exprience opinion wanted. Express 330

I have owned my 2006 330 for over 14 years now. Love the boat 100%. I repowered with F300's two years ago and they seem perfect for this heavy hull. I drove a friend's 330 with F350's and it was very fast and very impressive. Still, I would favor the 300's for reasons others have mentioned...

    Repowering a 330

I agree with Kirk's advice above. Can always re-power later (if ever). Looks like a beauty!

Possible Spun Hub PowerTech 4 Blade

Andrew, I have replaced the hubs on my 4 blade PowerTech props a few times. Seasick's 1st post above references you to the two types of hubs. Both are good and easy to replace. A rubber mallet and an oversized socket (like 1" I believe) is all you need to remove (and replace) the hub. Good...

    330 Express Transducers

I installed an Airmar B175H CHIRP with a 20 degree tilt in my 330. Been happy with it. I use it for bottom fishing down to 300' of water. It fits nicely on the starboard side of the main 6" high rib that runs fore and aft.

    Panda 4200 Oil Change complete

Good job on the oil change post! I just passed 1,000 hours on my FP 4200 and have never removed the screen. I do however change the oil every 80 hours (or less). Important to use a oil that is rated for diesel engines (CD rating). I truly have a love hate relationship with the FP. There is...

Crappy situation part 2. You won't believe this!

I share your agony... A 5 gallon bucket, one third full of seawater, is an elegant alternative. When finished, put a lid on the bucket as you carry it from downstairs to the rail.

    330 Express RePower

Correction FYI: My props are 16 pitch 4 blades. Not 17 pitch as stated above. In answer to your questions: I have a Bow Thruster so no Joy Stick installed, and My transom was, and continues to be, fine. My boat is stored on a lift so I think that helps. I also closely monitor my transom...

Running wire from Transom to helm on a 330

Here's how I did it: Remove the black switch panel at the helm (near the throttles). Remove the entire starboard side panel in the aft bunk covering up the head unit. Not just the small panel. Carefully remove the AC/DC Panel in the cabin and let it hang. Run a snake from the starboard cabin...

    330 Express RePower

I also repowered from 2006 3.3L F250's to 2022 4.2L F300's with digital controls. I'm using my same 17 pitch 4 Blade props and I'm seeing cruise at 28 knots Vs. 24 knots with the exact same economy. Also seeing a little bit higher end at WOT but not much frankly (3 knots more I'd say). The...

Using the Gulfstream rear deck for sleeping

I've done it. A good air mattress, sleeping bag and a wool cap is all you need. Sleep under the stars... Having a tarp handy is a good idea if there is fog, light rain or a morning dew.

    Fischer Panda 4200 won't start

I agree it is likely starving from fuel but it could be the relay. You can try swapping the starter relay with the fuel relay (they are the same). After the swap, if the starter turns the engine, you know it's good. If not, you know it's bad. For fuel, you must be sure the filters are clean...

F Panda won't start. Any Ideas?

As promised, here is my update... Today, I received and installed a new Solenoid/fuel valve assembly purchased from Fischer Panda in Florida. The generator started right up and ran flawlessly for one and a half hours before I shut it down (after cooling the vanes with no load for 10 minutes)...

F Panda won't start. Any Ideas?

Good question Bill. They were good or at least not out of whack. I reset them at .2mm. Once I receive and install the new solenoid + valve, I will report back.

I agree with Kirk (above). Years ago, I think I replaced the motor when the issue was the wiring to the switch.

F Panda won't start. Any Ideas?

Thanks for that. My wire connections + fuses and relays are all good. Any use of Starting Fluid is a band aid and should not be viewed as a long term fix. I still have an issue... I am in the process of replacing the fuel soleniod & valve. On order now and I receive it tomorrow. The one in...

F Panda won't start. Any Ideas?

Update: I was able to get my Fischer Panda started again. I consulted with a graybeard Diesel Mechanic and he suggested I spray some Starter Fluid into the Air Intake. I did this and my generator fired right up. Evidently, the Mechanic said I had air somewhere in the fuel line. Once I got it...
