Drove down from Vancouver Island aand picked it up and installed it myself. Came with pulpit ,all the staimless hardware and new railings (cut the old ones...

    Auto pilot hardover

Yes Halfhitch, I chose Furuno NavPilot 300 for its Geture controll (point and shoot with the remote controll to change direction from anywhere on the boat). Sabiki mode.... It is in the Sabiki mode that when hard over it won't return without an assist from the wheel.

    Auto pilot hardover

Thanks Halfhitch, will pour over the installation bible and see if that could be the issue. My questions to Mr. Furuno did not arrive with any answers.

    Auto pilot hardover

A question regarding my AP . When using the Sabiki (holding position with auto back troll mode) or even stopped and the steering is hard over with the auto pilot reaching its port or starboard limit the Ap cannot return it, I need to manually return (unstick) it with a jerk of the steering...

    tough day on the brine

Don, you know I can't share secret stuff, .........but in your case it is in Desolation Sound, the pics are in around Otter Island and the passage between Otter and Bold Head . Beautiful spot any time of year . Followed some Humpbacks for awhile in that area, watching them interact (play) with...

    Kicker location question

Timmyboy, I have a 208 with the kicker mounted on the starboard side with a swim platform on the port. As long as the batteries are positioned on the port side you should have good balance as I do

What have you done to your Grady lately?

Well....I have done quite a few mods or just added extras on my 2006 Adventure. Auto pilot, hinges on the stern covers, battery charger, enlargerd the helm box (for gps ) installed hinges so have two 9 inch gps flush mounted making the space behind still usable for operation manuals...

What to use to fill in a chipped rub rail.

You could consider Sikaflex (white ) it is very adhesive and hardens to a tough rubber finish which may be coloured. Not sure of the colouring.

removing or deleteing posts after they have been posted

Hi guys, can this be done? Trying to get some pics on the site, but like to have a look at them after they are uploaded. Sometomes sizing and placement being an issue then want to make a change. I go to edit and delete then then "no title" comes up, hit save (as in save the delete)go back to...

    Mounting 200 etec on a 204

A good place to start, but depending on the prop and stern weight you may need to raise it again. I am running a 4 blade prop on my F200i4 208 on the last hole. So as high as I can get.

    Time to plane

This was about prop function and ability to get on plane without stressing the outboard, getting the revs up fairly quickly. I think slow ability to plane may also show a lower WOT. Yes I think we all "just hit it a go". just questioning the timeing in getting to go.

    Time to plane

Curiosity has overcome, do any of you check on your time to get the boat from a idle position to up on plane with a normal (average) load? I believe , although I have not been out for awile, about 5 seconds for my 208 with the F200i4 dragging a 100 lb. kicker to get up and boogy. I will check...

    stripe

Heat gun and plastic razor works quickly and easily , then just a little laquer thinner or acetone to remove any remaining sticky residue. I removed my striping and left it off.....like the look.

    tough day on the brine

That Hookup is the Pacific Ocean, yes some days it looks like a lake, but that is the "salty brine" We get a bit spoiled with days like that on the ocean, but it can also show its other side when it is not so friendly.

    tough day on the brine

Looking back......approx a year ago, I mentioned I would post pics under "tough day on the brine " and I never completed. Thanks to Halfhitch who sent me the instruction (for even my simple mind to follow and screw up) on using "Imagur" back in 2018, I have managed to install some pics of...

    The POD influence

Thanks once more for the great coverage on the 228 with your thoughts and recommendations . Certainly a lot of posative responce for the 228. I would like to take a moment for a posative responce for my "smaller" 208. Enjoy! Summer is coming!

    What Grady to get?

The only issue I have with water on the stern deck is when slow trolling and standing at the stern to bring in the monster. I have solved that with expandable plugs in the scuppers when fishing, removed on cruising, prawning etc. At dock the scuppers are above the water line so no issues with...
