I recently picked up a 1989 259G Trophy Pro with the original Grady bracket. I'm not sure how many previous owners, but the boat has gone through some modifications, the cabin removed and it is now a center console. All bolts between the grady bracket and the transom are snug but there is a gap between the upper corners of the bracket and the transom. There is definite curvature in the transom wall while the bracket appears square. The transom is solid and in great shape, probably safe to assume it was rebuilt being a 30 yr old boat. The question is, does anyone know if that boat originally had some curvature in the full transom wall? It just doesn't seem like the bracket is drawn up the way it should be.
Thanks for any thoughts.
