Been thinking about doing that. When I had my 265 I had a hinge put un the square side of the hatch southco latch on the opposite end sealed all holes gasket around underside let me lift the whole hatch it looked like it was made that way and worked great
After seeing this done last season , I did mine makes it seem like a much newer boat and so much nicer than lookin into the cabinet.
Got more done today. Pulled the old 744 out. Installed the new b75m. Also had a new totalscan transducer that I never put in for the structure scan (I had the older version installed already). Pulled the wires through for that as well. Just need to plug them in and fill the old holes.. also got the gemlux hinges in so I filled one of the holes to redrill it. They’re like an 1/8” from the other ones. Should have that done tomorrow. Oh yeah she’s bottom painted too .
Thats in my future for a winter project. The B744 just started giving intermittent "Lost transducer connection". Plug end looks good. Going to try an ethernet cable in place of the Garmin network cable...it looks pretty sketchy.
I want to eventually replace the B744 with a 1k watt tranducer like a B260 to match up with the old Garmin GSD22
Are you going to put a totalscan thru hull in the place of the B744? Ive got a transom mount scan transducer with the Echo94
Nice I'm getting ready to do the same thing here I also took my fridge out and am gona copy what you did thereSomeone PM'd me ...asked about the hinge and latch on the door where the microwaves. So here is a picture
Is that panel the same dimensions as the original one?finally got around to getting rid of those awful oval euro switches.
Got a panel made at newwiremarine.com. Changed some things and left some "acc" extras
fit in a third row but bottom row doesn't have breakers...will feed from fuse panel
Aight cool I'll prolly end up doing that tooyes, sort of... It does not have any angle to it like the original. It is a straight rectangle. uses same cutout. Using their "Panel Builder" it would not fit 5 switches across. So I made it 4 across and 3 rows.
I have the drawing somewhere...I'll post.
looked at the drawing. It was 6" x 9.25". The original metal one was 6" at top and 6.25" at bottomAight cool I'll prolly end up doing that too
