I have a 2000 226. Where would the fluid reservoir probably be located? Thanks.

Your title says "fluid"... are you wondering what fluid to use?

Dennis, Thanks for the response. I am just looking for the reservoir location. I did not see it under either one of the aft seats. I did see where Bennett says that any ATF could be used.

I'd start with the tab cylinders and work backwards.

Yup - any old ATF is fine.

OK, I just did your homework for you - don't let the teacher catch us. On page 6-13 (you can download it) it says "Trim tab pump location"... in the cabin, in stbd berth storage compartment.

I guess there's not enough room back in the bilge.

Lift up the access hatches or pop-out deck plates in the cabin, starboard side by the helm. The pump and reservoir should be there.

On a 2001 228 inside cabin, starboard side hatch nearest the helm.
