As Sdfish mentioned above, it's not too terribly difficult to do the repairs and repaint yourself if you have a decent amount of knowledge with regards to general mechanic type of stuff and/or just fixing things. I'm sure there are hundreds if not thousands of videos on YouTube that you could probably look up that will give you a little tutorial on how to do it on your own. On a previous boat, I didn't have the dent or damage, but I did repaint the cowling on my outboard at the time, which was a Honda 130 hp 4 stroke. I got the paint locally for less than $20 a can and I believe I used two of them, as well as a can of self etching primer and a can of clear. All in all, not a difficult project at all, just takes some time sanding, prepping, priming, painting and then clear coating the top. What year is the outboard? They've got several used ones on eBay for less than $1k.
