Freedom 215 water Skiing

I've pulled a tube behind the 225. Clearly plenty of wake for that, especially horsing around doing figure-8's trying to get the tow-ee airborne.
I've skied behind a 192 and 205, and I guess the wake is just something to play on. Certainly not a ski boat trying not to make wake. with a yammy 225 on my tournament 225, it's certainly not overpowered for such use.
with the 192 and 205, transom-mounted outboards, turning around was noticibly quicker than the 225 -- hardly a surprise, but in ski/tube duty, you do notice it. It feels big on a lake. need to watch out for paddle-boarders... guessing they don't like it so much.

My ski boat days are long behind me. Have been skiing behind a 21' deep vee that creates quite a wake probably 10-12", at my age it takes a lot out of me. Also trying to teach beginners to ski weather twin or slalom the wake always causes problems. I'm looking for a do it all boat that the family can ski and tube behind on a lake but I can still use for salt water fishing. I read about someone who was a slalom skier and skied behind a Fisherman 180 I think and said wake was pretty low, it has 19 deg. deadrise as does the 215 but is narrower and lighter. I'm not looking for ski boat flat just more useable. Before buying I'm trying to find out what others have experienced.

I pull kids on tubes and skis all the time. As others have said, it's a decent wake. I don't find there to be any maneuverability issues with the bracket. And with the ladder it's easy for them to climb in.

yep, that's a dual cosole, and Grady makes the best -
I'll gladly trade a less-flat wake for less pucker factor when facing a real chop.... like rounding the breakwater/point/etc and discovering it's an honest 3' sea.

do the kids have any trouble leaving the wake on ski's? Do they fall going over it?

Depends on the speed....the wake flattens out once you get into the mid-20s. At 18-20 it's fun for tubing but might be a challenge for a novice skier.
Tom, there's not going to be anything special one way or the other with the wake. It's going to be your typical, medium deep-V wake being made by a 20' or 21' boat. Very typical. Much like any recreational boat you have had before. In other words, totally skiable - even slalom... but you'll want to be on edge and be ready to pull your knees up.
Will the "wake" knock the kids down? Depends on their skill set. But again, we're not talking a monstrous wake here - it's still just a typical 21' boat wake.
