Thanks Captain - I do know the difference. My confusion is a result of an email exchange with Grady tech when I asked what the "white switch" is in the battery select box as it is not in materials nor is it labeled.

Their answer which totally bewildered me was: it is "the breaker for the shore power inlet harness." The boat has twin 30's. Thanks again.
In case you did, please don't take offense to what I asked. Keep in mind that we only have what you wrote to go off of. From what was "written", it wasn't clear that you did and it's important to get some background info or at least make sure we're all on the same page.

So it's definitely not the shore power based on your manual and what would normally be expected. I assume you agree with that?

Unfortunately, we're not going to be of much helping you figure things out in this case. The only advice (short of pulling the panel) is just going to be to double check all accessories to see if it actually controls something. But pulling the panel MIGHT show it's no longer hooked up... or maybe you have an unhooked wire somewhere because the previous owner took whatever they installed with them when they sold the boat.

No offense taken - just the opposite. In South Florida, as long as you have deep pockets, you can buy and run a big boat with very little knowledge. I deal with it every day - bigger boat does not mean more experience. It's shocking how little some "captains" know. Glad to take your advice and thanks!

Are you the first owner?
It could be a security system switch added by a previous owner.
Something you turn on or off coming onboard and leaving, based on location.

Just more to think of.

That's a great thought. I followed the steps that DennisG01 suggested and everything worked so I guess I'll pull the panel. I will report back.

Still, it's a pretty hack job if you ask me....
