My bet is not big based on the saturation of the boating market. What does your crystal ball say?

There are two models that would crush it:

a Marlin built on the 33’ hull (the ability to fight a fish all the way around the express is a shortcoming of that boat)

An express with an island birth on the 45’ hull

Freedom 415 and Canyon 456 were already announced. To me it looks like the trend is going to high margin larger boats that get bigger and bigger.

Just saw a teaser video on IG. It’s a Freedom model with dual 450 XTO. Looks to me like an update of the Freedom 335

At our local GW club event over the summer, almost half the boats were 335s. Apparently it is the financial sweet spot for those who want a big DC. Wise investment by GW to refine the money maker of the line.
Along that line of reasoning, whatever Pursuit model is siphoning off sales is likely the other model to be updated.

Bringing back an updated 282 Sailfish!!!!

Probably won't happen,,, I'm sure it's another DC or CC variant,,, seems to be who Grady is catering to.

Indeed... probably a 30'-40'+ CC/DC style of boat that I'll never want/need, nor one that I'd ever want to pay the payment on. Would also love to see them come out with another walkaround model, but as mentioned I doubt that will ever happen.

return of the tiger cat would be cool, and probably pretty smart.

id like to see the return of a walk around between the gulf stream and the marlin

Although highly unlikely, but it would be great to see a boat builder like GW with a better reputation than World Cat but not at the price point of a Freeman get into the cat market. The hull design is ideal for a DC. Deep head to port with massive storage/small bunk starboard.

...and let's add a fully enclosed pilot house that has formed clear lexan panels that can be removed in the summer months

At the very least the integrated hardtop across the line is way overdue. CNC tubing benders have been around long enough and at a price point low enough that GW should have been making better use of this tech long ago. Full windshields and removable panels would be a nice touch. Canvas flapping in the wind is too last century IMO - especially at the price point of today's GW.

Not really surprising....
DC's are what the market demands in the last years and most of buyers are new boaters who would like to have a multipurpose boat for family use, maybe young children.
Non fishing pax in the bow and anglers in the stern, that avoid a lot of problems.
The smaller canyons are too uncomfortable/fishing orientated for a family, the Marlin and Express is usually too big for a beginner while a DC looks sleek and easy to handle.
The only thing what i find somehow wired is the amount of freedom models with like 1ft length difference, that does not make a lot of sense to me but i may miss something.

If you look at the specs, this is a replacement for the 33. Dimensions are identical.
Although not being exciting, GW has been playing the "1' itis" game for decades. Marketing teams are all about product differentiation to demand more $$. As much as I hate it, it's a proven strategy. Since all boat builders have raised their prices to insane levels over the past few years, manufacturers are back to havimg to offer something more to get new customers to part with their $$.
