The filter gets done when on blocks over winter on the next oil changeNice find and nice design.
Did you not change the oil filters?
My only beef on the Zuke 4-pots is the location of the oil filter. For such a well engineered engine, it sucks. It would be great if someone with an old, tired set would experiment with a filter relocation mount to see if it has any issues.
I use that oil as well!
For the Suzuki oil filter, I've found that if you look up a say a 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4L, its the same oil filter. I've used the Mahle # OC217/6 and Hengst # H97W0
Yeah, both the Mahle and Hengst cross reference to the wix 57145. About every major filter supplier has one for that application. Wix, fram, Denso, K&N, Mahle, Hengst, bosch, Purolator, AC Delco, etc.. Mahle and Hengst are a couple of the larger suppliers of parts to OE manufacturers.I know a guy who uses the high performance version of Wix 57145. They can be had at the local auto parts store.
Word is Wix makes an excellent filter, but here and elsewhere people have concerns about flow rates under certain conditions. That said, I have never read or heard of engine damage from an equivalent filter that starved an engine for oil without being defective.Yeah, both the Mahle and Hengst cross reference to the wix 57145. Yeah, Wix is owned by Mann-Hummel, another large OE supplier of parts.Word is Wix makes an excellent filter, but here and elsewhere people have concerns about flow rates under certain conditions.
