Now that I have my tank lines replaced the fuel flow monitor in place, and a new filter/water seperator installed, it is time to go filler er up.
My Q's is

What octane should I be using on an outboard 2 stroke moror?
(175 Evinrude Oceanpro)
I have heard thru other engine forums that the lower octane and higher octane makes no difference in the outboard engines. I am planning on using mid grad or plus (89) octane.

Need to know If I should save the extra 10 cents a gal and get the 87 (economy Feul) or should I go for the good stuff 93-94?

87 is fine in that motor. The gov'na would like you to use the more expensive stuff, but that's up to you ...

If it's going to sit for a while, go 89. Later on, go cheap. The F250 and most Verados need the extra octane.

My marina has only 2 choices Regular & Premium. Since I'm supposed to use 89 in my F-250, should I mix or stay with the expensive stuff?

My question maybe should have read "can I mix".

It seems that these days, I sometimes say before I totally think things out. Decent weather coming and I need to get a big list of jobs done so I can get to the early season Cod and Haddock.

That is how most (at least in Florida) gas stations produce mid-grade gas. It is mixed at the pump. Underground fuel tanks and their required monitoring and testing are expensive. So they only have two grades of gas tanks.
