I would seal the hole with 5200 before it gets any water intrusion ! Heck I'm sorry that was another tread.
At this point and time what difference does it make. Ops sorry! Had my mind on something else. :D
Do I have 100 post? :hmm

Sorry did not read the whole thread.... I have come her and asked many question in the past. Alot get answered and some don't. I do remember getting bashed by a few when I put an Etec on the back. I am here now looking for the deadrise of my 1990 232 and the search function has let me down. I am also looking for where I can get original decals and stripes....

And my .02, other than trolls, you as a forum admin should be happy for what traffic you get.

Oops and I am 5 post short...apologies.

Exudedude,
The stripes for your boat you can still obtain from a Grady White dealer. Just call one. The decals for Grady can be obtained from numerous Internet sources. I replaced mine (1994 Grady Tournament) with a set from garzonstudio.com. I was very pleased with their work. They will send you a proof before they make the decal. I have had mine for just about 2 years and have been happy with them. I think I paid 90 bucks for a set of 2 of the Grady White logo, for port and starboard sides of boat. Good luck!

I have 95 post so I'm close to the 100 mark!! :dance

Anyway,,I've been a member since Mar '06,,, I don't own a Grady,,had a 180 I bought at a auction, for about two months but sold it. I've always dreamed of true ownership,,,,but at 52,,, I'm afraid my dream may be dimming a little. I've had a boat since '90, but never a Grady. Over the years, life has gotten in the way,,,we are currently building our forever home, so once again,,,the dream is put on hold. Being landlocked in Ky and owning a 228 seems like a crazy idea, I've fished exclusively in South Carolina the past 26 years, so a road trip is always in order. I just sold my place in SC late last summer, and sold the boat last fall,,going through major withdrawal, but the new house build starts next week so that will keep my mind occupied for the summer.

I know seasick has softened since he first posted his rant. But I like reading all the posts, stupid or informative,,just to feel as if I belong to the Grady family.

Thanks for letting me be here even though I don't own a Grady,,,,,yet!!!! 8)

I know I am getting older and probably a bit(maybe a lot) grumpier but have you noticed that the overall quality of posts has lowered to the level of other 'general' boating forums (not mentioning any specific names!)?
Seriously, I used to enjoy the posts and the challenging info and responses but recently there are so many useless (to me) posts that I am becomming reluctant to read the board.
In my opinion..
I don't care what you name your boat.
I don't care what color you painted your boat.
I won't tell you specifications that you should already know ( beam width, trailer size, etc).
If you bought a boat, don't ask if you did the right thing! Ask before you buy.
If you have to refer to the starboard engine as the "left motor, facing the stern" you should be posting on a different web site.

There are many more examples of inane questions but I guess I should just shut up.
I do wish the best to new GW owners but seriously, if you are new to Grady's , get a owner's and service manual, read up, and do some research fist.

"My motor won't start, what do you think it is?"
Geeze....I am ready for the flack:)

Is this a cut and paste post from a THT thread?
