I’ve done my best searching the forum and the internet but I can’t find a replacement for my 95 Tournament 192 fresh water faucet. The plastic recessed box is dry rotted and brittle and already has a hole in it. I’d like to replace it. Anyone know where I might find one?

Just got off the phone with Grady. They haven’t been made for years and have no replacements nor do they know where a NOS might be acquired.

You can try Boat Outfitters who can custom make an enclosure. You would have to select a faucet to fit the insert. Since the insert box will be pretty much generic, you have the other option of making an insert and framr out of Starboard and fitting a new faucet into it. The color of the new box probably won't match your existing color.
If all you want is a pull out faucet with only cold water, you could install one of those either on top of the gunnel or on the side. See what plumbing fixtures meet your needs and go from there.

Thanks for the info. The boat already has a pull out shower hose on the top of the gunwale near the transom. I’m not really sure what this one was meant for. Maybe to wash your hands or something? Idk.

I may just remove it entirely and cover it with a piece of 1/4” starboard.

gonna have to go custom with that. Could do something on the cheap with thin starboard like material and some good cutting, routing and assembly. If you do, I'd angle the floot 45 deg and put a hand held shower head like GW uses in boats today vs the faucet.

Already have a Scandvik shower in the gunwale near the transom.

I purchased a 1996 Voyager with the same issue. I am having the recessed flange reproduced via 3-D printing, along with the two drawer flanges that go under the seats. They are all dry rotted and brittle, this will restore the boat back to a closer version of its original luster.

Im in the process of figuring out where to find a faucet that will fit in that small gunnel recess and have the shut off built in.

Im going to delete that old shut off that is mounted in the gunnel flange; so find one that is already built into the faucet.

If anyone is interested in either of these flanges I can have more made. DM me or simply give me a call at my office number I run a small marina. 603-210-5095.

That was a custom part made by GW. Maybe see a marine cab fabricator and see what they can do.

Yeah I actually replied to that thread with the same solution I mentioned here.
Spent a couple hours last night trying to find a faucet that could be substituted in but no luck there.

The recess is a paltry 3.5” H x 8” wide - not much space to work with. It might be possible to open up the hole to accommodate a newer style cold water faucet but at this point I think that is overkill given the limited practical application of this setup anyway.

You can still get those same original faucets, I found them for sale. They are made by jabsco (big pump company) but are sold as kits that come with their own separate water pump, which would duplicate the pump that is already part of the existing plumbing of the boat. There aren’t a lot of them floating around but they are still out there.

Easier just to leave it as-is and replace the old rotted box.

This was the first year of this hull design, and there are a few quirks I have noticed which don’t make a lot of sense.

for instance the boarding ladder is located opposite of the transom door. Later models moved it to the same location.

The storage tub at the rear is sort of a waste of space, later models deleted this and provide a storage locker instead.

The washdown location was moved to beneath the gunnel on later models to accommodate the storage locker at the aft location.

Deck drains have difficult locations for access to replacing the components at the rear of the boat. My deck drains are white plastic and look like they will need replacement soon. I mean - they are pushing 30 years old now. This year also used plastic through hulls. I already replaced all of mine with SS ones that really make the boat shine much better. That was a bear getting those replaced - Im lucky I have long arms and a wife willing to help because they cant be replaced without a 2nd person involved!

The rest of the design is pretty good overall. I will say the transom design is beefy - a metal bracket glassed in with wood reinforcement, with several ‘knees’ to provide further strength. The thing is a tank. I guess on later models the stepped rear transom was eliminated providing a better ride, although the topside looks pretty much the same. Plus the motor shouldnt have to be mounted so high. Mine is at the top hole. Initially I had it at 2 holes up and it porpoised badly - max height fixed this problem and made a big difference in ride and max RPM.

I can see how this would help with buoyancy and less porpoising - provides another 2-3’ of running surface.
