IMG_0858.jpg a little test run today. I glassed in a piece of 1/8" diamond plate after bonding it with west marine products. Then I mixed up some adhesive filler and smoothed that over. Looks like it will work. I have ordered carbon fiber tubing to lay in for wiring as needed. I think I can, I think I can.

Seem to have this under control, I am pleased with the outcome so far. Have mocked up a new electronics box opening at the Helm. I have added 2"s to the height and 3"s of depth angling down to aluminum post base for overhead radio box. I will use a Dremel tool to cut out the fiberglass as neat as possible and slide in foam pcs to hold shape while I glass over. More material on the way

the one on the left was done with fast hardener(morning temps) the right was done with slow hardener so color is a little different plus I have much more fiberglass on the port side. Next up, need some thin marine plywood to make shelf under windows to hold spreader bar rigs and the like plus it will give me mounting locations for rod holders.Once I start creating the helm electronics box it will free up my mind to come up with the rod holder plan.
