Has anyone installed zero degree rod holders on a 236 Fisherman. Looking at possibly 2 forward where current cup holders sit.

I have factory installed (not zero degree; maybe 15*) on the bow of my 2018 306 Canyon. I almost never use them.

If replacing cup holders consider these - available in 0, 15, 30-degree and open bottom or drainage system bottom, round or angled flange. Super heavy duty SS - love them on my 232 Gulfstream and have a backing plate to adapt to cup holder holes. Still have the cup holder when cruising and pick up a nice rod holder. I've got two 0-degree on either side of my rigging station to set rods in while rigging, or drinks in when using the table for lunch.

Thanks. Are the standard rod holders 15 or 30 degrees?

The standards are 30 degree, but one of the best upgrades I have done to my 228 was to put Burnewiin rod holders on my boat. Check them out, I do not know anyone who regrets their purchase.

Not too pricey, if you go with the black base. The way I always look at it is, each one of my fishing setups is pricey as well. Burnewiin system is a great upgrade with the fender holders, rod holders and what ever else you want. I had 2 OEM ones break, the bottom half must have corroded to the point of failure. I am grateful, I had my rods tethered.

So is paying tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars for a boat, motors, trailer, electronics and other accessories. Spending $500-$1,000 on fishing gear that will be used every time you go out, as well as only increases the value of the boat itself, seems like an easy decision to me. But to each their own, bowing out now.
